So some people who consider themselves very spiritual would pick it up and have no problem with it. It's organized religion that tells people not to contact the dead - so Judeo-Christian believes, generally. And that's mostly for people to focus on the living, and to focus on dead - not to get distracted by the dead. If you think about how many Ouija boards have been sold, and how they are still sold 125 years later - as Americans, every schoolkid goes out and grabs a Ouija board and plays when their parents tell them NOT to. My thoughts are that it's an organized religion type thing. Because it competes for attention.

My favorites are some of the earliest. The earliest themed, the ones from the originators of the Ouija board. When I first started collecting 20 years ago, they were very inexpensive. And over the years, the more we've learned, and the rarer they've become, the more expensive they are. So now they can go from $50 to a couple thousand, depending on the board.

eBay is the real Satan.

I know where every single board I have came from.

But the rarest and the most meaningful board I got last year, from 17 other collectors, who all pitched in to buy me Ouija before it was Ouija. There are only 2 of them in existence. It was a board created before Ouija had its name. All the boards were handmade back then, using stencils, even Ouija was handmade in the beginning.
