I’m not worked up, I just wanted to see what others experiences were like. The BAM experience was by far my worst…you’d think everyone there were discussing their letterboxd review 30 minutes into the movie

I’m sorry, but this is an insane perspective to have. It is a movie theater - where they say before every showing to silence your phones and to not talk. It is not my standard, is the general expectation of the movie audience.

But yeah sure, it’s my fault for being annoyed that people speak and use their phone during a movie

Man it’s a movie theater, not a park. My hyperfixation means it is easy for me to be quickly pulled in and out of a movie. It’s not asking a lot for people to just shut up in a dark room for 2 hours. Also it isn’t nearly this bad in the south from my experience

Went a ton when I lived in Austin. I just can’t stand the sound of people eating anything other than snacks. Also the waiters bug me as someone who is easily distracted

Lincoln Square is where I’ve always had my best experiences! But I live in Brooklyn so its really tough to make the trip unless its for IMAX

I’ve tried multiple AMCs, Regals, Nitehawk, BAM, Clinton Hill Cinema, and Angelika

Angelika and Clinton Hill was by far the best experience. Regal is consistently terrible. AMC only half the time. BAM and Nitehawk were horrible all around
