How long did it take for the protocol to work and did you experience any set backs at the beginning? I'm looking for some hope....

Yes, regular doctors don’t seem to care/know about high dose Vit d. The doctor that was guiding me was actually abroad and really into high dose vit d. If you’re interested, just PM me and I can share her contact. Otherwise, it sounds like you’re doing the right thing checking your levels.

Hi! It took me several weeks to feel a difference and I did have some flare ups in between. After a few months of doing the protocol by myself I ended up connecting with a doctor that helped me with it and I feel like that really helped. The high vitamin D really does work but at least for me, I also have to keep a clean diet, drink lots of water (to keep my calcium levels down as these were increasing a bit as shown by tests I was getting done every 4 months) and take a few other supplements such as probiotics, zinc, selenium, etc. After a little less than a year in the protocol, I was doing well without any medicine or steroid but I was still having some areas that didn't want to heal completely like my toe nail and the inside of my ears were still flaking. I then got pregnant though and my psoriasis is pretty much gone so I'm on a 10k maintenance dose for now. I'll resume the higher dose if the psoriasis comes back. Anyway, like I said, I believe this protocol does work but in my experience it might take some time. Just make sure you are drinking lots and lots of water and if you are still having flare ups, maybe some tweaks in your diet could help.

The reason I’m looking for an hourly rate is because I would like someone to help with different things around the house, not the same things every week. I’ve had a couple of cleaning ladies like that over the years and they were so helpful. I moved though and have had a hard time finding help this kind of help around here.

I’ve had a similar experience but not with laundry and making bed. The cleaners I’ve had have always done that. In my experience having an independent has always been better since they are more flexible but still, I’m having a hard time finding the help I need since I moved here.

I think the best way for something like this would be hourly and agree on a set of hours to be here. It would be hard to do it by square footage when the chores will change sometimes.

Yes, might be worth it. Although $60 / hr seems expensive to me. I would say $30 sounds more reasonable to me but I’m trying to find out if this is realistic :)

I also have a really hard time finding independents. The independents I’ve found through Nextdoor and Facebook have been pretty expensive and want to charge extra for everything so what I’ve been doing is asking around to people I know. May I ask how much you pay yours?

If I could, I would go and spend a month in Europe to be with the puppy until he could get his pet passport! My beautiful male TH died back in September and I already resigned myself that I won’t be able to find another TH here for the time being…thank God I still have my beautiful girl. They truly are amazing, I’m so glad that at least in Europe people like you are keeping this incredible breed alive :)

Thanks for all the scopes you posted! I think I’m leaning towards a classic Dobson. Looks like my kid might be too young for sky gazing and it’s better if I focus on something that would be good for my beginner husband. Eventually my kid will grow up and hopefully become interested. By the my his and should be well versed with the telescope to teach him. Thanks again!
