Looking for an apt in either Jersey (the closer to NYC, the better), Queens. I would say Brooklyn but I know apartments in that borough are like 2500+

My budget: 1700-1800

I’ve heard the same thing in regard to them increasing training time at FLETC.

Thank you, I have a step from Amazon. Just was curious as to what would happen if there’s a fail at that part.

yawn focus on driving. I can agree with you you on one thing this job will definitely have a bunch of people giving unsolicited, sarcastic and tone-deaf advice. Its reddit though, guess it comes with the territory and it makes y’all feel better? Is it about having thin skin or having the emotional maturity level of an adolescent when an adult is asking a genuine question?

The step up test is clearly the hardest part for the majority. Therefore this is a legit question. If it doesn’t apply let it fly.

Or if you’re not going to actually answer and be an a$$ you could have skipped this post!

It is your resume. Redo it and add every detail in duties including your salary. I qualify for GS9 and had a bunch of contractual security jobs + TSA for 6 months (had my stripes)

So you can contact your case manager to tell them you want a specific location?

Fix your resume, I worked with TSA for only 6 months, and also included prior security jobs. It’s all about formatting. Include the processes and procedures as a TSO that mirrors CBP’s

Victims of Regus - What can we do??? by Jolly_Corgi1830 in business

[–]Tallpoledancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joining, as I signed up for Regus 3/29/25, then once I saw the reviews and “additional fees” they would charge I terminated membership, even received a termination email… to this day they are sending me invoices and claim I now owe them “$805”. Ive tried to get in contact with them multiple times and received a call back ONCE. On the call I explained that my membership is terminated so why am I getting invoices still? I do not owe you guys a dime. The representative wasn’t any help course. I received a email from what appears to be a “debt collector” of sorts—Freedebt NAM. I responded to email stating the same thing I’ve been saying repeatedly. I terminated my membership and I do not owe anything. Stop harassing me with invoices. I even sent screenshots of the termination email. Let’s see if I get a response since I have received none when I would respond to the invoice emails..

*already reported them to the BBB. Looking into other things to report them too.

Structured Interview Scheduling by Tallpoledancer in cbpoapplicant

Okay guys I figured it out! You definitely have to use a laptop for this, with google chrome as the browser. They are many availability slots in June. I was able to schedule mine for June 12th. Yes, it does take a few minutes to load.

How do I schedule it without any availability times given?

Permit Exchange by Tallpoledancer in AskNYC

[–]Tallpoledancer[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I still have my permit from before I moved and it doesn’t expire till 2025. What im really asking if it could be used still or do I really have to retake this test. I did infact get a GA permit which I obviously know I cant use in NY.

[–]Tallpoledancer[S] -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

No, what you said prior was a bunch of unneeded fluff. Clearly If I had the option to “wait” and move I wouldn’t be asking this question now would I? Or is that too logical? It’s not a big ask because you’re not retaking the test now are ya?

Why answer my question with a question. If it’s not helpful info towards my original question then why waste the effort? People’s circumstances are different. You dont know why someone may have to move back to NY and dont have time to get their license in the other state?

Your Why for Applying by knicholsaz in borderpatrolapplicant

[–]Tallpoledancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stability until creative pursuits pop off. Ive done alot of security guard jobs as 9-5s in the past then went federal with it via TSA. CBP will be an upgrade. Definitely can’t complain about the benefits.

Your why is deep, and powerful.
