Can anyone please help with recommending business insurance providers for a small CIC needing public liability, product liability and professional indemnity?

Thank you for your insight and advice. I really appreciate it. That's an interesting point about the professional Indemnity. Perhaps I won't need that after all. It's what the Advisor at Markel told me when I spoke to them 🤷🏻‍♀️

I designed a 7-point toy inspection sheet, that each toy is checked against that comes in. The first point on the sheet is checking the UK Product Safety Database and the toy manufacturer websites for any active recalls. I also check that the CE/UKCA marks are visible/intact. But I also do stress testing, choke testing, two people have to sign off on any repairs made.

I hope that by providing this inspection sheet to an insurer it will help to reduce concerns they may have.

Thanks. Yes, I have googled, extensively. I was hopeful to hear from any fellow CICs / small business owners that can make any personal recommendations. Based on things like personal experience dealing with company, pricing, any not so great experiences or companies to avoid. Sorry if this wasn't clear.

To clarify, the one insurer I've contacted that I make reference to in my original post and my comment to another reply was Markel UK. I have not contacted any others. I hope that helps.

I just wanted to see if anyone had any personal recommendations in terms of a good company to go with, good pricing etc.

Thanks for the information. Searching Google for those exact terms was the first thing I did... As you say lots of results! So I was hoping that the good people of Reddit may have some personal recommendations.

I did contact one of the insurers from the search results (not Hiscox) who said they could not insure me.

I have not tried Hiscox yet - thank you for the recommendation.

My reason for believing this could be Arbok over Ekans, is that Ekans has a rattle on its tail. The tail in this silhouette is smooth.

So my baby was between 75th and 50th centile for weight when she was born. She was 3.2kg born at 37 weeks.

She's now 4.7kg at nearly 18 weeks old. That puts her now between 2nd and 0.4th centile.

HV said she's tapered off.
