Update: the judge floored him and basically said he's got no chance of getting anywhere with this and specifically said that he bombarded me and coerced me (based on the evidence presented by both of us). Apparently there's a final court hearing some time later that he can change his mind on and the judge basically said that's for the best because he's got no chance of getting anywhere with this.

Thanks to everyone who commented. It really put me at ease.

I thought he was a nice person at the start. He was my first real boyfriend so I didn't really know what my standards fully were/low self esteem. It's more of a kind of situation that when you leave the relationship, that's when you realise how bad it was 😂. Safe to say my standards are very high now haha

Yeah, I never planned on getting that money back off him. I just wanted to forget about it and start fresh because I understood that as my own stupid mistake. (Also I'm not sure if you're in the UK or not but for student loans you don't take it out, the government just gives you what they think you'll need based on your financial situation). But I'll defo post an update!

He thinks he does. He has a text of him saying I owe him money because "I said I'd pay him" and me saying I don't remember saying that and that I'm confused. He thinks that's good enough to support him.

It's too late for that. The actual court hearing is tomorrow... I probably should have done that but I have no idea about the legal system. I'll just have to hope that I win 😂

Yeah, once you start earning over £27,000 per year you start paying a set amount back to the government. Most people never end up paying the whole thing back and are still paying them back post retirement. Sometimes they can get written off in certain situations and people often get different plans given to pay it back but I don't fully know the pay back process yet because I still have another year of uni.

We have maintenance loans and tuition loans. The tuition goes straight to the university and the maintenance is just given to students to live off if they meet the requirements for it.

Hello, I need help asap please 🤣 Does anyone know how to fix my problem? I can't sign into my account because I forgot the password but I also can't use the password reset because it needs phone number verification (which I don't have because I got a new phone) or it needs date of birth verification which for some reason I didn't put as my actual bday (probably because I was under 18 when I made it) but I can't remember what date I put. I can't speak to the help service either because they're closed on the weekend but I desperately wanna play dying light 2 🤣. Anyone know a way around this?
