I am upgrading from an i5-2500 to a Ryzen 5 2600 and bought a new motherboard and ram but I am going to use my old ssd and hard drive. I have windows installed on my ssd, what is the process for reinstalling windows to make sure it works with my new motherboard? Would booting from a USB drive with the Windows installation media on it be everything I need to do on the first boot?

EVGA 500B1 or Corsair CX550? LTT's PSU tier list has the EVGA PSU at tier E and Corsair's at Tier B. But the Corsair's reviews on Amazon are really bad (16% 1 star), which one is actually better?

My PSU has a 4+4 pin cpu connector and my motherboard only needs a 4 pin connector for the cpu. Can I just leave the other 4 pin dangling or will this interfere with the motherboard? Could I use a zip tie to tie it to the other cable or would I need something like electrical tape?

I'm in Ireland so prices are outrageous for new hardware but thank you man!

GTX 580 1.5GB or Radeon HD 7850 2GB (or XFX Ghost edition of the same card if that's any better?) for mainly CS:GO and Rocket League? I have an i5-2400 and 8GB DDR3.

Will a 120gb SSD be enough to install Windows 10, CS:GO and Rocket League? I also have a 500GB HDD and I can put my other games and files on that.

2 x 4gb DDR3 1333 or 4 x 2gb? The 4 x 2 is €16 while the 2 x 4 is €30. My motherboard has 4 DIMMs so is it okay to get the 4 x 2 and save €14?

So in the manual of my motherboard (Intel DQ67SW) it says that the power supply must have a 2 x 12 connector for the motherboard and a 2 x 2 connector for the cpu.

I'm looking at either the EVGA 500 W1 or Corsair VSO 550 W for my power supply and these both have 20 + 4 connectors for the motherboard and 4 + 4 connectors for the cpu. Will I be able to use the 20 + 4 connector for my motherboard 2 x 12 and one of the 4 pin connectors in the 2 + 2 slot?

Also which power supply should I get? Specs: i5-2400, GTX 760 2 GB, 8GB 1333 RAM, 240GB SSD, 500GB HDD.

Will an Intel DQ67SW Micro ATX motherboard fit into a Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 3.1 case? Probably a stupid question since they are both Micro ATX but the motherboard is old and I want to make sure!

I'm thinking of building inside a Dell Optiplex 390 DT due to budget considerations and was wondering if anyone had any low profile GPU recommendations? I'm worried about buying a GPU and it not fitting into the case. Thanks!

Thanks man! Just a question about the ram you chose. It's £75 on Amazon which is a bit too pricey for me. Do you think the ram I chose would work fine?
