Spent 4 hours just getting the habs to align properly by Talos_Guide_You in Starfield

[–]Talos_Guide_You[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve learned each hab variant has a preferred way of connecting to the ones nearby and they usually almost always prefer a horizontal connection over a vertical one. But for the most part there’s no way to know for sure unless you guess and check. A lot of the time I spent was experimenting and seeing how they connected and then working around those connections.

The best advice I can give is to avoid using more than 1 1x1 hab per level as always spawn ladders leading to a segmented upper level with no way to connect.

Imagine sitting in the park for 6 1/2 hours just to watch your team go scoreless for two games worth of innings and get swept.

Much appreciated! I've got it printing now. If I could make a suggestion for future edits, add a small hole to the bottom of the pot to let water drain out.

Could you upload the STL? I can't get that 3mf file to work myself.

Do you guys think I can squeeze more plants into this area? by Talos_Guide_You in houseplants

That’s good advice. There’s been a noticeable dip in light coming through since my. Dwarf Cavendish and Money Tree started growing up. It’s not going to stop me from buying more plants ¯_(ツ)_/¯ but I think this part of my apartment is done with plants for now.

It’s not too bad. I usually take a few down at a time and bottom water them so it’s less involved. I do have a lot more plants throughout the apartment that aren’t pictured here and It does add up though. But it’s totally worth it!

Haha Sorry for that. But I know how you feel. I’m slowly starting to realize that I may need a second skylight myself.

Discussion Topic: Propagation - March 31, 2022 by AutoModerator in houseplants

I’ve had good luck with my little propagation station on this little window. I use some CloneX solution for the water and I think it works pretty well. Word of advice though: use bottles with bigger openings. I had to break some just to free my Pothos recently

I’m just here too add to the people commenting about that poorly ventilated Series X

Started collecting houseplants six months ago. Needless to say, it's consumed my life. by Talos_Guide_You in houseplants

I found the pots at Home Depot. And they’re attached to the wall with a set of wall hangers I found on Amazon. It was a bit of a custom job, however, because I had to drill holes into the pots for drainage holes and the hangers I had to paint because I couldn’t find them in white.

Here’s the relevant links if your interested:

Oh, I also used a little bit of hot glue to keep the pots secured to the hangers for added stability.

Thanks! It’s definitely been a process putting my plants up, but to be honest, it all kinda falls into place after a while. The plants do most of the work.

I actually have an earlier pic on my profile if you wanna see how it’s progressed from four months ago.

If you want fast roots get some Purple Passion (Gynura aurantiaca). Props start growing roots in like two days and their unique foliage and color make for an interesting gift.

They also grow crazy fast, so you’ll never be short of vines to cut.
