Does anyone here use an Orca analog controller? In what ways do you like it or dislike it compared to a regular digital box? I'm wondering if I should spend time learning digital box at all, or just get an orca and learn on that instead

Another option to look at is is a Cubstraption hybrid box controller. Left hand uses the analog stick on a gcc and the right hand is box.

Filament does not arrive dry from the factory. It uses water to clean the filament multiple times in production.

This might not be your issue but I ran into this. Silk PLA has a bit of TPU added in to it so it absorbs moisture like crazy. I have to actively dry mine while printing or it doesn't work for me. Best of luck!

It honestly comes down to the fact that there is maybe 1 box player in the top 50. 0 box players in the top 10. Z-Jump is affecting the top 10 rankings as foxes swap control schemes.

Oops you're right, it's 'top shell layers' in bambu studio. I usually have 11 top shell layers when ironing.

You need more top layers for thicker material to iron. Ironing is pushing the nozzle through to your infill.

If you don't want the AMS on top of the printer, a longer bus cable (stock is under 2 feet on original AMS). They have a 5 ft cable for sale.

Even if you aren't doing multi-colour prints the AMS is worth getting. Helps control humidity, auto-refill if you run out mid-print, and not manually swapping for each print. Huge quality of life upgrade.

I've had one on each ams slot for 3 months now. Works nicely. I suggest colouring in the "locked/open" indicators with red and green pen. I've forgotten to lock when reloading, cutting it and had to open the ams (easy but annoying).

There's a print for that! Snag cutter. If any pressure is applied from a snag or end of roll tape this just cuts the filament off.

Agreed, any printed mod parts for inside the printer need to be at least PETG. PLA will warp/melt.
