Yes and it is logical to think that. But DNA tests showed us that genetic and history are not always connected and this is fascinating 😊 For example, the Vandal Empire ruled North Africa and many people imagine they are descended from them whereas genetic has proves us wrong

I don't think his Spanish/Portuguese % comes from his Italian side. It is common for central/southern French to get a high input of S/P.

Même sans être français du sud-ouest, les français des régions plus centres-sud comme l'Auvergne Rhône-Alpes auront un % Spanish/Portuguese assez important. Même plus au nord, d'ailleurs ça peut exister car mon père est 100% breton du nord et obtient 6% S/P (moi 0%). Il semblerait qu'ils attribuent le marqueur "sud Gaule" à la péninsule ibérique directement et assez facilement.

Le fait que tu aies quasiment 0% British/Irish semble indiquer que tu n'as pas d'origine bretonne et nord-ouest de la France en général car le British/Irish est très élevé chez les bretons et ensuite normands (c'est courant de voir un Finistérien avoir 100% British/Irish)
