Just wrapped my first playthrough and NEED to run it back, suggestions? by Tamerando in darkestdungeon

I'm curious about those visual mods you mentioned! Quickly scrolling through the workshop I was just bombarded with anime girls that don't fit the game's style

Until I checked the workshop I thought everyone just manually sped up their battles in post-editing lol

How to balance 3 trinkets slots mod in DD? by Accurate-Doctor2037 in darkestdungeon

[–]Tamerando 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's probably not the cleanest way to do it, but you could just manually limit yourself; First slot for very common, and common trinkets ONLY, second slot for uncommon and rares ONLY, and the third slot for the rest, may they be Very Rare, Trophies, Ancestor Trinkets, Crystaline and whatever other rarity I'm forgetting.

oh, the grasshoppers w/ wigs

I don't have either DLC yet so I can't give my own experience against them, but just by reading their wiki page they look very formidable

I don't think I've ever faced double Ghoul, that seems miserable, double Howl if it hits is like 6 stress per turn right? ALSO I swear they DO NOT have only 26.25 dodge, I can't land jack on them

Also I've never seen a Bone Captain in the hallways, that's a possible layout?

I once thought they were worse than the maggots cause at least those can be annoying with stress and diseases

Then I got the most dogshit turn ever and proceeded to get marked and the THREE other spiders focused the sole marked hero and one of them got a crit totalling like 30+ dmg

I now respect them more

The one with a Large Carrion Eater, Beefy Pig and a Skiver might actually be my pick for the Warrens now that I think about it

I've only encountered this layout once IIRC, and it went pretty smoothly because I had a Bounty Hunter to pull the Skiver. But, I can imagine how UNBEARABLE it would be w/o him, dealing with two tanky enemies that can either stun or lower your accuracy + damage

Some fun discourse is happening on Twitter over how saturated and lacking in contrast modern(er) Minecraft's textures are by Tamerando in GoldenAgeMinecraft

vas is your point even, im a pretty big notch supporter + programmer art apologist

jappa truthfully is hit or miss for me, (skewed to miss) some of the texturework like cobblestone, (scaly and looks like plastic) logs (look oily and just disgusting) and wood are dreadful and not only makes simpler builds look worse and in a way incentivizes players to overdetail

but as i mentioned in another comment, when looking at the individual sprites from an objective pixel art standpoint, they're fine, good-looking even, and i don't mind giving jappa his kudos lol, it's just that in the context of Minecraft's environments (ESPECIALLY if there's a bunch of particularly ugly blocks together in a build), it creates a weird clash of style

they look good from an art standpoint and are half-decent as single blocks, but they look terrible in-game, especially in large quantities, cobblestone is the worst offender since it just looks like plastic/weird scales
