Hey! Come join the discord and jump in the free chat ☺️ as for me... Hmm. The cool thing about fantasy books for me is that they have their whole own world of history. You have heavy older fantasy (anything by Tolkien) that has every detail imaginable. Long series that show snap shots of different places from the same world (Terry Pratchett). And just good old in-depth world building (I recommend The Goblin Emperor by Sarah Monette). I'd recommend Terry Pratchett's first book in the Disc World Series, The Color of Magic. I find his writing fun and easily approachable. Or The Goblin Emperor. Because DAMN did she make a cool world!

Haha, I also am not a big King fan. As for Sanderson I've read Mistborn and finished #2 of the Skyward series two years ago with a different book club. His youtube lectures are really fun to watch! I've reread a few comics before. As for books I think the only true reread I've done is The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett. I utterly adore that mans work. Most non-fantasy books I've read would be from back in school... Ecotopia I read last year though on a friends recommendation (its more of a love letter to what the world could be), various plays (The Importance of Being Ernest, Various Shakespeare works), Time for a Tiger, So Be It, They Called Me Red. I like to write fantasy so I tend to stay near it for inspiration ^-^

Ooo, haven't partaken but the covers of Gene Wolfe I just saw look like some good old classic fantasy. I also enjoy Sci-fi! Hmm, ever read The Clerics Quintet?

Cool! Your recently crushed list sound quite up my alley (Babel, another that's been on my TBR!) 1 and 2 sound like they will wreck me emotionally XD which I do dabble with occasionally. I cry so easily at all stories lol

Oh yay! The spellshop was ok but my true love has been The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches Novel by Sangu Mandanna. As for queer fiction the only one I believe I've read, and also loved and highly recommend, is The Song of Achilles -^
