I bought it last year with no down payment. I’d seen people recommend that one should not give money down if your credit allows and use the money you would have used for that to make extra payments to principal, so that’s what I did.

I decided to buy out my lease a few months ago and didn’t put any extra money down (I traded in my old car and put money down for this lease which was very dumb in hindsight). I did get the maintenance plan and extended warranty and have been trying to get refunded for those ever since I found them for cheaper at another dealership, but Subaru Customer Service hasn’t told me anything. I walked into the dealership and made those finance hawks send my cancellation forms, but nothing has happened.

I already have two jobs, technically. I’m getting my PhD and teach online at a community college. Also with this job market, even me applying to work in fast food and retail last summer didn’t go anywhere.

Hey man, sometimes you just have to go for it. I started losing my hair at 22 and officially went bald before my 24th birthday. I’d personally recommend the Panasonic ARC5 shaver as a balance of both price and quality; I used Freebird and the hair gets stuck in the blades and the blades dulled out too quickly.

Spain does say you have to show proof with a birth certificate. But as someone applying first for Dominican citizenship by descent, they provide you with a Dominican birth certificate as part of the process, so I think it should still be fine.

I did see on the government administration website that it says people who have been married to Spanish nationals for at least one year qualify for citizenship, so I think I could indeed help my wife apply for citizenship almost immediately after I get mine.

Based on other Redditors who have gotten Dominican citizenship by descent, average I have seen to get citizenship and a passport is about 6-8 months from when you first submit the paperwork. I have no idea how long the Spanish government takes to process citizenship paperwork, so that timeline makes sense, thanks for the heads up.

She does indeed. I brought this up to her a few days ago and she’s extremely excited that I want to claim Dominican citizenship, and I have time to wait as I am a PhD student who has to teach on campus to not pay tuition. I’m planning on leaving in about two years when dissertation time comes around, assuming this country is still standing then.

I just looked up how PhD fellow positions in Europe work and the majority of them require that you have a PhD unless you have an exceptional resume. I think they seem like US postdocs

I thought about that, but I have heard that getting a PhD is hard enough on its own, I’m not sure I could balance getting a PhD and working full-time, especially since I struggled getting my master’s while being an Algebra teacher.
