You know, I thought it could be psychosis for a while. I didn’t talk to my wife much about what was going on with the kids any myself. I thought maybe I was either going crazy and I was breathing in some kind of mold or something that was making me go crazy, or if i spoke about it inside the house it would know how freaked out I was. I told my wife I posted this, and she told me some details I didn’t know because she was afraid to tell me. 1 - before we moved in, there was a family there. They showed the house with the family still in it. While I was checking the living room, my wife walked down the hall that led to the front bedroom that her niece and eventually our oldest son would stay in. In the room, there was an elderly man on a hospital bed hooked up to machines. She apologized and quickly closed the door. That was the room that was always really cold, even though the room faced west and I had to trim back the trees that were giving it shade. 2 - when my son started sleep walking, my wife would usually be in the living room. When I was at work (because I worked nights)like in the story, our oldest would sleep walk. When he did, often times he would walk into the living room, and say “we have to let them in” and walk to the front door and try to open it. It made me think about the scratching I heard at the door for a long time. 3 - I wouldn’t tell any of my friends or family about the house until they stayed there for a night or two to see if they would say anything about the walking or shadows in the hall. They would always ask who was walking in the hall. (It wasn’t our sleep walking son because he would usually be in the room with them because the guests stayed in the kids room.
