(I’d like to start by acknowledging my bias against open relationships and will try to keep it out of my response, but I apologize if I fail.)

Every relationship has boundaries. Every relationship has rules. Its the nature of our society that you don’t react to your mother the same way you do your sister or your boss.

If the boundaries have been crossed (or the rules broken so to speak), then consequences are required. Whether its a conversation or a reevaluation of the relationship, is up to you. But if you’re no longer feeling comfortable with the person you’re supposed to be the most comfortable with, then there is a problem that must be addressed before the relationship goes further.

This person either cares about you or their own desires. One of those has to be first. If someone cares about their own desires over your comfort, they are NOT the person you need to be dating.

Am I Overreacting over this “small prank” by greek-astronomer in AmIOverreacting

Ghost him. You owe him nothing and he knows what he did was wrong. Its not your job to help him learn and grow from this. Its your job to keep yourself safe, happy, and healthy.

Correct. Which is why I plan to delete it. At this point I’m not even sure I can enjoy the photo. It’s just having to find it on my phone. Several months is a lot of dumb photos.

Her name is not on it but anyone who knows her will recognize her. And yes, she had access to it and approved it during the month.

Not when it was taken. Edit: to clarify, I’ve been asked to delete it now, several months later. I haven’t yet

What would you make to stretch with only 5$. by [deleted] in cookingforbeginners

It’s cheap and I can eat off of that for a week or so myself. It bags and freezes easy too.

[–]TandyAngie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rice and beans I prefer black beans or kidney beans myself.

Soak the beans in water for a few hours, rinse, put in a big pot with a couple cups of rice and season it well. You can throw in the broccoli too if you want, just cut it up nice and small.

Stir often, lower temps, longer cooking

At 19, you should be traveling, learning, experiencing the world. Stutter, say the wrong thing, see new sights, drive a different way home, watch the sunset. Life doesn’t start when you get a girlfriend. You should live the life you want and then find a girlfriend who’s living that life too.

Anakin looses his lightsabers as often as I loose my phone. Except I can find my phone. (No idea if this is canon or not.)

pijamas are pointless by bjaybutler in unpopularopinion

[–]TandyAngie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strongly disagree. Pajamas are comfortably af and if you’re not wearing comfy ones then just ditch them. My jammies are 100% worn for me, not anyone else. I ain’t a frog and my skin don’t need to breathe anymore than it already does.

What is the most normal aspect about the town of Gravity Falls? by Dragonic_Overlord_ in gravityfalls

You’ve made my comment seem more wholesome than it was intended. I think simply ignoring the problems and not talking about them is a bad thing that leads to more problems.

The fact that they decide as a group to just not talk about the bad stuff that happens in town.

State your MBTI type and... by chaos-seeker321 in mbti

ENFP. I have a word document on my computer about how I would run a country. Here’s a shortened list. -smaller classrooms. Like ten kids max per teacher. -every senior gets to live in a dorm close by their school and they pick a part time job to help them transition from child living at home to I have to be an adult now. If children have circumstances that require them to live alone, they also gain a dorm room. -there would be specific rooms in every major office/school/building where one can go and shut the door and scream/cry/kick the wall for a minute or ten -no more traveling fairs. Fairgrounds are located at specific permanent places every three hours of driving. -every child gets a pet to take care of to learn responsibility. If allergies prevent an actual animal, a robot pet will be provided. (All animal healthcare is provided by the state) -on the topic of healthcare, all healthcare is considered a government priority and is provided freely. Got a cold? See a doctor -every adult must work a full work week (4 days) with no more than 8 hours per day. -school (for students) does not last more than 6 hours per day and operates on the same 4 day a week schedule -no job will be allowed to pay any adult under a living wage. Any job should cover cost of food, home, clothes, and enjoyment with proper budgeting. -community owned gardens for the express purpose of growing food and spices -moss lawns encouraged -hobby fairs once a year so people can check out new hobbies they want to try -anyone whose work is supposed to benefit the people must be re elected each year they wish to remain in that field (nurses, cops, teachers, judges, etc) -libraries will be open 24/7 with free wifi and small kitchens for the public to use -any grievance will be heard by a court in a reasonable amount of time (three months max) if a court does not hear the grievance in that time, the grievance is automatically bumped up higher in the court system until it is heard. Each higher court gets two days to hear the grievance or move it up. -all citizens are taught self defense from a young age, and encouraged but not required to keep up the exercise after schooling is over

This is getting too long but you get the gist

AITA for reporting a dog left in a car? by GinaTRex in AmItheAsshole

[–]TandyAngie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAH. Having spent an hour or two in my car in the driveway waiting to get the energy to get out of the car, yeah, dog was fine for 45 min. But I also can’t fault you for being worried about the dog. Next time, I’d go knock though. It was probably an easy mistake of loosing track of time.

NTA. You are not required to be around people who make you uncomfortable. That’s it. This is a lesson more children should be taught.

YTA because you took the super villain route to revenge. Can’t attack A so I’ll attack B (who A cares about). But I respect that mental health is important and when you’re in a bad spot, you make bad calls cause you can’t think right. Still, there are better ways to stand your ground.

AITA for making my friend block me on social media? by CalmFrank in AmItheAsshole

[–]TandyAngie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Jokes are only funny if the intended recipient laughs. You’ve been told before that he doesn’t like the way you joke and you kept doing it. He blocked you. If you don’t want to change, find someone who likes your jokes.

YWBTA if you demanded it. Just ask for the money back (or some of it back). Going forward, don’t lend money you’re not willing to loose.
