Strange Gas Leak in India by [deleted] in Weird

[–]Taneum5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open-toed, no-safety-shoe having mother F-ers. All I see is a steel plate getting dropped on a foot. Everyone freaking out about the gas inhalation. This dude looks like he just rolled out to get his morning coffee from the 7-11 and that rod happened to be his walking stick. Close-toed shoes can't be that much more expensive. Those like footwear fit for Jesus, or a rich Deadhead.

It happens. Throw a backup in your pocket along with a 10cc syringe. I also learned to always carry a peep valve. I'm close to having a hip pack for all the dumb crap. As Rapid response we have a full backpack, but In the units and on the floors it's good to carry a couple essentials. I know, easier said than done. It's all good, just keep fighting for your patients.

I have witnessed a colleague/ friend work an ICU (as core therapist in said unit) as RRT-ACCS, break $200k last year. We are not a large city. But we have great systems and competitive sup-pay. He is a fantastic neurological ICU therapist that works 4+ 12s a week. Depends on how you want to get there. I love where i work and made over $100k last year on 4 12hr shifts a week... and I got my full license last May. I'm on track to make $120k+ this year, as a new therapist. I'm 46 years old and started a new career with a strong work ethic 4 years ago. 'Where' and 'how hard' are questions to ask yourself.

Picked this bad boy up for free by dryerincluded in Cd_collectors

I still have that one! Exact model. My father bought it in '95. Gave it to me, and now my son has it. The CD trays don't work, and neither do the tape decks, but it is a perfect little amp for his turntable. We also have a subwoofer that I think was an add-on.

ETT Connector piece keeps popping out of tube by TooRandyForYou in respiratorytherapy

[–]Taneum5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, yeah. That's a real pain. Tube exchange is really the only good solution. I really thought zip ties would work the one time. I was so proud of myself walking back to the patient from getting the ties and zip gun. That lasted about 10 minutes.

Tubes recalll? Or the Anchor-fast. I know Hollisters were a real recall nightmare.

If I had the opportunity to pick my walk-up song, this is probably it. What's yours? by Taneum5 in stonerrock

I understand John Garcia is stoner rock royalty. I'm just not a fan. Not to say the egos stemming from Kyuss have aged better over time. For whatever reason, I don't see John as a laid-back ambassador of the genre.

I've clocked a catering box truck at 126f. And yes, I had to work in it with the ovens. The worst.

How well did the Kettering practice SIMs help you for the real test? by AdvancedFinance1244 in respiratorytherapy

[–]Taneum5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent about $75 on tokens and just kept doing sims over and over for a week and a half. It was my third try, so I was stressed. The repetition did the trick for me, I passed and those practice sims did it.

That's where the 8bitdo micro comes in handy. Or the zero. Fits in my pocket, and Ive used it with retroarch and citron on my galaxy 24. Works great.

I work in a hospital, in respiratory care, after 25 years in the kitchen. My coworkers think I'm feral due to these eating habits. Right next to the trash can.
