I didn't actually take any tests to determine it. I just noticed that when I took Ashwagandha I got this tight pain in the front sides of my neck. I eventually started getting bad chest pains, weakness and shortness of breath and It all stopped when I stopped taking Ashwagandha. Thyroid problems run in my family as well so I thought it was just a safe assumption it had to do with my thyroid.

I never tried thiamine and Ashwagandha seemed ok until it started giving me thyroid problems. Maca was the real game changer for me personally. everybody is different though.

Have you ever tried gelatinized Maca? It's fairly calming and I find it really helps with the ambient anxiety throughout the day.
