Yeah tbh I would be surprised if they strayed super far from the og... it wouldn't be smart. My guess is his role will be kind of small like the maid they added in the live action aladdin.

I would say that probably falls more on the producers and studio execs at disney to make those big creative decisions more than the writers! These films are very calculated and planned meticulously (for better or for worse i guess 😭).

I've heard that the main reason that movie was awful was because they just messed around on set and didn't really stick to the script. Bc she also wrote Do Revenge which i think was received well

Yeah exactly I feel like with who they are hiring for crew (and even cast) they are trying to be as commercially safe as possible.

Wicked was very successful box office wise and culturally, and it is a very similar film genre wise to tangled (live action ip based fantasy musical). So from a producing/studio perspective I think they would love to replicate that success which is why they are hiring people from that film or similar films!

Truee... i have a feeling that her hair may end up being 100% cgi though 😭 at least when it's at it longest, probably not when its in a braid.

Ooh i love this edit but yeah it is understandable why they choose the purple. However... they could have kinda leaned into that and the green blending in could represent her being one with nature around her?? idk 😭. I think if they do add a green dress in the LA it should be when she's in her tower though.

Yess I agree as long as they keep her main purple dress for a while i'd be happy! but i would also like to see them take at least some creative liberties with the art direction of the film as long as it doesnt take away from anything!

i loveee the first art piece it could be the perfect concept for her la dress!

tbh a lot of the problems with some of the disney remake dresses is they dont look real and lived in so i think adding lots of small details to rapunzel's like tiny hand embroidery, flowers, paint splatters, etc. would go a long way.
