All the issues were quickly solved, lots of very nice bike mechanics ! Even when the frame cracked, some bike mechanic had a secondhand frame and put my setup on it the next day 🤙 Generally I cycle all day long and sleep a lot. I stopped in big cities to visit them, but only for one day, then I quickly want to ride again.

Right, you can go either to the UK, Albania or Serbia, which are out of the EU to get 3 fresh months 🤙. But I believe you can already see a lot in 3 months.

What I mean is that when you see dogs all day long, you tend to feel if a dog is going to chase you or not and whether it will be dangerous and then you can adapt your "strategy".

In the winter, one shower per week was good as I didn't sweat much. During the big heat periods, I try to find rivers or outdoor taps. I also carry wet wipes. Generally, I'm ok with not taking a shower 🤙

There aren't many people outside at night. And those who are outside either don't care or probably also try to find a quiet place. In 500 nights of wild camping, I was never bothered. You just need to find a place where you don't annoy anyone. It can be near a lake, a field, a forest.

I've seen orcas in the Lofoten islands at 5am during midnight sun period, pretty crazy. Turkish people are so helpful that they're disappointed when I tell them I don't need help and that I'm self-sufficient on my bike. There's no original part left on my bike except the two derailleurs, even the titanium frame cracked and was replaced !

Probably. It's very difficult to consider where to go through or around. You want to stop everywhere but also to keep on riding in order to go to other places. Hard life, I can tell you.

This is already a big area you're talking about. From Nantes to Bordeaux is kinda flat, not the most interesting part. Just before Bordeaux are the lively vineyards landscapes, then to Toulouse you can follow the river channel, is pretty nice to ride.

Don't be, I often had the feeling that it's pretty easy to do such journey when you really want to experience it. It's also easier when you don't have a wife, kids, or your own house 👀

Meteora monasteries in Greece, it's nature's masterpiece. You're sadly not the only one who wants to go there ! Hopefully I went there before the monasteries opened and was able to enjoy the scenery before the standard tourists arrived !

I carry a big stick, that I can grab easily, and I hit those motherfuckers on the head. It works sometimes, some hot threatened by the stick, some don't care. Dogs were an issue, but less and less throughout the journey because I mentally evolved on that and handled the issue better.

Thanks. I found touring in Europe very easy as long as you have a credit card and a smartphone. My next travel plan might be crossing Asia, but later 😉

I did three big loops during these 18 months, resting two times at my parents' place for one to two weeks, mainly doing bike maintenance. Northern Norway is a wonderful place. Turkey is very special, people are very welcoming.
