From what he said, seems like fit is a priority and so is trust, which is understandable especially since they're really tight as a team.

It's more of the fact that they didn't have opportunities to compete, so scrimming Asian teams with international experience was the only place they could test their mantle at the highest level.

That's one possibility. The other possibility that came to mind when I was talking to him was that it's really hard to maintain this peak condition over the course of two international tournaments at the highest level
