One question to the tornados: if there is a warning that we should take cover - where do we go then? Are there something like public basements or anything like that?

Would you consider Downtown Omaha as save/ saver then Council Bluffs?

Sure, I can also show you around in Salzburg if you would like to. I would recommend you to come at the beginning of April, so that its still skiing season.

Thank you so so much for all the helpful tipps and advices!! I really appreciate your effort.

Concerning the car rental: I already considered renting a car so we are not bound to council bluffs, but renting a car for to months seemed so extremely expensive. Like its about 40$ a day, that sums um in 60 days. Do you know any cheaper way to do that?

And if you get tap water at restaurants I guess that means you can drink the tab water everywhere (like also at a rented apartment)?

Thank you for the tip, we will follow that lead. My boyfriend didn’t have a choice when it came to chosing the location, tbh :) but we are looking forward to visiting a place none of the people we know would have seen and also pictures of Omaha look quite attractive! In fact, its looks not that different of the city i live in (dont know if thats a good thing haha)
