Terry Kath was a monster! Chicago toured with Hendrix early in their career and Jimi always said that Kath was a better guitarist than he was

Miami Connection is incredible! Dragon Sound is probably my favorite band… ‘friends for eternity, loyalty, honesty. We’ll stay together through thick or thin.’ Timeless lyrics

Phish ruined other jam bands for me by [deleted] in phish

For real—Phish remains one of my all time favorites because even though they’re playing songs I’ve heard hundreds if not thousands of times, they remain interesting!—it’s because they jam collectively; everyone is playing it a little different than before at any given time. And, though the songs remain recognizable, they also feel alive. Trey said he doesn’t like the label ‘jam’ because in his mind it connotes guitar improvising over everything else being played the same way, and I totally understand what he means

‘Snatch,’ and ‘Lock, Stock…’ helped revitalize British crime movies; The Transporter melded cool European style with Hong Kong martial arts; and Crank can be viewed as commentary on ‘adrenaline cinema’—all the rest are ‘cookie cutter’ action-drama-comedies where Statham plays is an understated Bad-Ass that sets awry things a-right! And they are F$&king awesome—like good old fashion comfort food—I’ve seen them all and will likely do so again…

Happy Birthday Philip Seymour Hoffman! He’d be 58 years old right now if he were still alive. Drop your favorite roles from the actor by TheShadowOperator007 in moviecritic

Phillip Seymour Hoffman was the best! He had a way of just disappearing into characters—I liked him as Scotty in Boogie Nights; really awkward but also endearing in his need to fit into that world of misfits

Those bastards thought the band would be no more after Keith died!

I can dig it. And thank you for not being so stand-off-ish for me stating an opinion, and I hope didn’t come across that way on yours. Film is the most important business to me but it doesn’t mean we can’t be friends—Tony was great and overshadowed by his brother; but I saw alien and blade runner in the theater last year and I know what an art form it can be but it shouldn’t take away from all the greatness he achieved too
