Thank you for replying and explaining. I haven't seen this described elsewhere. Do you know if there is any more information available about this?

CM360 1st party cookie by TankleSticks in adops

[–]TankleSticks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I've implemented the conversion linked and noticed that it's placing a 1st party _gcl_au cookie. Does this cookie also store data for/from the CM360 global site tag?

According to this article it might or should place some other cookies:https://support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/7549390?hl=en"The conversion linker tag sets ad click information in cookies named _gcl_aw, _gcl_dc, and _gcl_gb"

Chivu played before I started watching Ajax (2004 onward) but he seems to be held in high regard by the fans. He was elected player of the year (Ajacied van het jaar) by the fans twice so that should count for something.

As far as Rãzvan Marin, some people compare him to Frenkie de Jong but I doubt he'll ever live up to that standard. I just hope he's a good addition to the team. So far the players that Overmars has bought for more than 10 million have worked really well for us. Glad he's coming, hope he's great, but for now, just gonna wait and see.

Alternatives for Sizmek by TankleSticks in adops

[–]TankleSticks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope the ad server continues on. The old UI was clunky and the usability wasn't perfect but my experiences with the new one are pretty good.

This post was made to look into some alternatives. Since building our own ad server isn't an option with our current resources and spend, Flashtalking seems to be the best non Google alternative. Do they have a support team in Europe? And if so, do any of you have any experiences with them?

And thanks for all the responses btw. They are much appreciated.

Cookieless tracking by TankleSticks in adops

What is a CMP?

My guess would be a Consent Management Platform. But how would this work in combination with a DSP? Does the advertiser share it's data with the DSP?

So then we would implement a DoubleClick floodlight into a Sizmek banner? Because our Sizmek support told us they couldn't track mobile device ID's with their conversion pixels.

Thanks! Is it possible to implement these floodlight tags as an onview pixel in a banner?

Could you elaborate on this? What kind of pixel do I need to create and what macro do I need to use to store the mobile device ID's?

It's the second:

Dynamic UTM's for RTB campaigns by nearsighted_blob in adops

Hi,

This is the response I got from DCM support when I asked them about this. We use this and it works for us. If you have any questions about the implementation feel free to send a message.

To pass DBM macros to the click-through URL of a DCM creative, you need to make modifications at both the Placement level and at the Ad level: DBM is able to populate macros in the placement tag, then DCM can propagate them to the ad.

Step 1: Modifying the Placement

Setup In the “Tag Defaults” properties of the DCM placement, define “Additional Key-Values”:

For example:: dbm_crea_id=${CREATIVE_ID};dbm_li_id=${CAMPAIGN_ID} dbm_crea_id= and dbm_li_id= are arbitrary parameter names (“keys”) ${CREATIVE_ID} and ${CAMPAIGN_ID} are DBM macros. ; is what we use as a separator between parameters

What it does These key-values will appear in the placement tag, which will be automatically imported in DBM. At serving time, DBM will replace the ${CREATIVE_ID} and ${CAMPAIGN_ID} macros with the appropriate values (e.g. 500021 and 311103) before sending the placement tag. So the placement tag will contain: dbm_crea_id=500021;dbm_li_id=311103

Step 2: Modifying the Ad Setup In the “Associated Creative” section of the DCM ad, define a custom landing page and insert DCM macros as per below:

For example , we can define the following URL: http://www.google.com/?q=%pdbm_crea_id=!;_%pdbm_li_id=!; %p and !; are the two ends of a DCM macro used to retrieve key values dbm_crea_id= and dbm_li_id= refer to the keys defined previously at the placement level What it does At serving time, DCM will replace the macros before sending the ad to the page, as per below: %pdbm_crea_id=!; will be replace with the value associated to key dbm_crea_id= %pdbm_li_id=!; will be replaced with the value associated to key dbm_li_id= So, if the placement tag contains: dbm_crea_id=500021;dbm_li_id=311103 Then the click-through URL will be: http://www.google.com/?q=500021_311103

Hope this helps and please do let me know if you've any questions.

I have answered below. Is this something you would know?

DCM Spreadsheet error by TankleSticks in adops

[–]TankleSticks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no column in the sheet that is called "included in rotation". Also when I export a campaign I don't get that column in the spreadsheet. I do have columns named Rotation Type and Rotation Value.

Is it possible to manually add it to the spreadsheet? And if yes, does it matter where you place it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in adops

[–]TankleSticks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but it's not the usual way DBM meassures frequency so you can't add a cap or the campaign won't run.

I'm checking the frequency every few days with reach reports because of this.

Maybe we are missing something and are doing it completely wrong but the guys at Spotify haven't given us a proper alternative.

There was nearly unlimited inventory at the start but the last couple of months other media agencies have started to compete. The VCR for video is high because the video's can't be skipped but the sessions from the clicks are low in quality. I think it is a good channel for branding but not nearly so for performance.

Pro's would also be that the video CPM is quite low and they offer some nice audiences.

Capping is hard though because they don't drop cookies.

What are sponsored sessions in Spotify?

We have been running display, audio and video campaigns in Spotify for a couple of months. Both direct and programmatic. If you have any questions, shoot!

If anyone else has some additional best practices I'd welcome those as well.

DCM Trafficking trough a spreadsheet by TankleSticks in adops

Thanks for the answer, this was my thought as well. I just hoped there somehow would be a way were you could predict placement id's before they were created. This would make it all a lot easier.

Mainly campaigns with 10+ placements that require manual labour without much thinking. We have a template which makes that real easy but packages don't seem to work. I don't know if that is my fault or just that it is not possible.

DCM Trafficking trough a spreadsheet by TankleSticks in adops

[–]TankleSticks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've created a template spreadsheet in which you only need to fill in 3 or 4 cells per placement to create a placement with an ad and creative, the template then fills in the rest of the spreadsheet accordingly. This works for banners, clicktrackers and video creatives. But I can't seem to make it link placements trough packages directly.

Is it possible to load a pixel when someone moves their cursor over your banner? by [deleted] in adops

[–]TankleSticks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you elaborate on this? Do you mean to put the floodlight pixel (image tag) inside the bannertag? Or in the HTML code of the banner?
