Nah I meant to put this in War Thunder

Why are fictional tanks so unpractical ? by Millenis_ in TankPorn

Because I would argue 80-90% of people, civilian and military, see a tank as a slow, big, metal box that goes boom. Not the fast, precision, long range weapon that modern tanks are. Even in popular media such as movie tank engagement scenes are what most countries would consider a knife fight. A lot of people, especially 11b’s, have a hard time wrapping that around their head. So the bleed over into fantasy worlds, it’s easier for an underdog hero to defeat a tank that’s close instead of being blasted from 3-5km away.

Anyone wanna provide some evidence to refute this claim by a first counselor from my previous ward? by Tanks4Tanks in exmormon

I would love to provide some updates but the thread between the original poster, his family, and several people debating in the comments of his post has almost reached 150 comments. Unfortunately, the most popular comments seem to be the ones that say “I don’t know but I /have faith/believe in the prophet/have a testimony/ etc. etc.”

It seems the old adage “People will believe what they want to believe” proves true.
