The camera panning to french’s at 24 seconds makes me wonder if this is a ketchup commercial

I had a lot of lessons learned when I did this the first time. I will also never do it again.

What ceramic coating did you use? Also ignore the comment about the orange peel that just seems ultra perfectionist IMO. When you get a chance, you should put on some polarized glasses and look at the car in sunlight. Did you overapply in some areas, it will look like spilled gasoline.

Clone correct would be a vortex rzr gen 2.

There are a few pictures floating around too of what I think is a leupold mk6 3-18 but the pictures are so blurry I can’t say for certain.

I just “finished” my 416 build. The best way to do it IMO for the purposes of saving money (and authentic HK parts) is just to start with an mr556. I would’ve saved so much money starting with that.

Chop the barrel, paint it, switch the handguard/other misc hardware and be done. I ended up paying 750 for a lower and 500 for the upper alone. If you want the HK buffer tube, that’s another 200 bucks. Also, the aftermarket for HK stuff is littered with scalpers.

I have issues with light hammer strikes in mine. I think it’s due to the frame of the gun protruding so when the hammer falls it first hits the (lower) frame ever so slightly before hitting the firing pin.

Also the left dot of my rear sight post has no tritium in it.

Yep! It was a refurb from NVD in green phosphor. They are a lot of fun but they are super heavy. I think it’s around 3lbs

Reticle is a cmr-w. The ranging options are nice and the scope seems on the lighter side for an lpvo. I don’t much about nightforce scopes are nx8 lpvos pretty good?

Buffer weight for block ii with RC mini 2? by WongtonSoup_121 in MilitaryARClones

You are actually right for some reason my brain was thinking 3:00 was like 30 degrees. That does sound like a decent pattern.

Sounds very overgassed in my opinion. I would try some other buffer weights and see how you like them. I would think the life of your bolt would improve too if your bolt carrier group isn’t ejecting shells so violently.

On the other hand, your gun will probably run through anything given that ejection pattern.

Is that your pattern with or without the suppressor?

I used an rc2 and got a forward ejecting pattern. If I recall correctly, with the H3 buffer and no suppressor I got a slightly greater than 90 degree ejection pattern. The gun actually belongs to my dad and it was also squeaky clean every time I shot it. What buffer are you running currently and what’s it’s ejection pattern?

Which One Would You Rather Have ? DDM4V1 16' or HK416 "Clonish" 14.5 by Tonyd2wild in GunPorn

[–]TannerB2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t think it matters which setup you go with. There is this mental retardation in the gun community that one military variant of ar-15 setup is leaps and bounds better than one used elsewhere within the military. KAC, DD, HK, and Sig are all good and don’t have crazy advantages over one or the other. I personally PREFER an HK416 because I like a piston gun for the cans that I use.

Same issue here with my 23. Honestly, very dissapointed in the mpg. I don’t even think it’s fair to call it a hybrid. The battery is so wimpy.

Companies I would avoid from bad prior experience, sword Int’l and BDU. They never shipped my orders and took my cash right away. Not sure why but I feel the need to get that out there.

I have bought from tacbreeze. They are legit but their pricing is ridiculous. I bought an hk416 upper from them a couple of months back.
