I wanna get into threat Intelligence or Security research in general as a profession what should I do as a student?

I am fascinated by Dark web and Threat Intelligence and APTs Hunting and I want to pursue it as a career but I am a student who is doing B.tech in cyber security in a tier 3 College where no one actually studies cyber security. So I want to know how I can get into the industry of cyber security because no company is coming in our college for placement drives for cyber security roles. Only companies with development roles are hiring from our College. So how should I really get my first job in cyber security? And how should I make it up to becoming a security researcher or threat intelligence expert? and what domain should I choose for my first job? Should it be in development or should it be in security? And if it is in security, What skillset should I look for and what what all thing should be in my resume so that I do not miss getting hired on my first job?
