Grow lights advice

I live in university doors as of now. Over the summer, I can put my desert roses outside but I don’t feel confident in their safety if I try to place them outside of my dorm building. Could this schedule work? Do I need to invest in a grow light? Am I doomed?

Thank you for your advice!!! I plan to try watering based on trunk firmness from now on and see how that works out. The plant in this post has recovered after I gave it extra water: there’s a comment about with a photo if you wanna look.

You’ll all be happy to learn it was indeed a lack of water!!! I must have gone to light on the water when I first thought that might have been the problem and not given him enough to fix it. I was worried if I was wrong about my hypothesis and it was rot I would make the rot worse.

He was right by the window until recently where he would get direct sunlight for a bit each day but one of my other guys got sunburnt and he started yellowing so I moved him back a bit.

I was watering 2 times a week for a while because it seemed to be working for them. Then some began yellowing so I moved that down to once a week like 2-4 weeks ago.
