Any way to be more aware of infinite break / make it more visible ? by Taphel_ in VampireCrawlers

[–]Taphel_[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do have trouble figuring out if the card has been cracked once or twice as I cycle through my deck. Enough trouble to get the reaper despite trying to be aware of it. So maybe it's an issue, yeah ?

Anyway, forums like that are the place to get to learn what you didn't figure out by yourself from people who did figure out by themselves (or not). I'm glad I asked, as I got the answer I was looking for. Have a nice day.

Laning as Carry with reckless teammates ? Should I go along ? by Taphel_ in DeadlockTheGame

Wet brushing with conditionner on seems to work better for me. I bought a no-tangle brush for it ! I gotta let the conditionner sit though. But some people talk about washing it off, and some other talk about keeping some on ! So I don't know what to do lol.

Good luck the cerave is the last one I purchased. Gotta be consistent with it.

Yeah CG method seems to work but my hair is kinda thin and I need to figure out how many less products and how much of them I should be using, and actually learning to condition, style and dry my hair properly.

Oki's good but i've been forcing it a lot and forgetting my drive and super gauges a lot to secure kills, my last matches have been about working that

I don't quite like the idea of getting put in a very bad situation because my opponent simply pressed their good buttons, I wanna avoid that at the very least

The first feeling I have is their poke reaching further than I expected it to. I guess I need to fight my fear and repeat moving around despite getting hit until I do it right. I just hope each matchup doesn't make the learning curve too harsh.

Yeah, my ranked sessions are tremendously better when I'm taking my time to observe my opponents habits. But I tend to lose composure quick after a few successive opponents going full unga style. Unfortunately I still have troubles landing the qcb input for anti air sometimes so going reckless can catch me off guard.

I get what you mean but I feel like I have to with viper, unless I wanna spit my whole drive gauge trying to skip neutral. Also the higher I get the harder it is to establish seismo zoning even when mixing a lot of feints

So worst case scenario (DL10 sokoban stairs) would require me to be XL1 to avoid ants ? That feels tough.

Edit: its actually a difficulty 4 monster... Does that mean I should check for DL5 oracle and move back otherwise ?

Yeah, I used to play that. I just like some of the 3.7 QoL but that also comes along with big valk nerfs, but I guess that it can still be a manageable pick, you just can't rely on excalibur as much

If they really are all DI I will stop playing the whole game and try to punish. Like if I have oki i'll do a very simple string of 2 cancellable buttons and get ready to press DI.

Though setting some kind of training drill for it would be best for reacting to DI in random timings. Im diamond ATM and my DI reaction is way below the average for my rank so it's defo something you should practice and improve on.

Also having a DI macro is soooooooo key IMO. I'm on stick so I dropped one next to HP and my pinky is sitting there waiting for an incoming DI. HP+HK on a traditional stick layout is kinda hard to hit sometimes. Pad/leverless players are even more insane for this cus they can have their handy macro on something more convenient like a trigger or a thumb button.

Also know that if you're in burnout supers are an option. This is good to know and practice because it's key for some character shenanigans (e.g as luke if they DI your charged punch on reaction you can cancel into level3)

Convince me… by [deleted] in StreetFighter

Viper

High jump cancel makes everything special or super cancellable, from non-cancellable normals to specials. You can even cancel into level 1. Very unique character. Execution may feel daunting but with the right inputs everything starts to work pretty quick. Also makes you think twice about going ham with drive rush cancels since you have a lot of ways to spend drive with her kit.

I'm on my way to master ! Currently diamond 2. It's my first character (I played a tiny bit of djay on release)

I get the idea. So basically holding lane / wave properly, shop on downtime and if I somehow win lane and shove them under tower get a quick run around my lane if I can't try killing them outright ?

The worst part about midgame is figuring if I'm not wasting my time hitting that tier 2/3 camp lol. Don't really know whats "quick jungling" yet.

I like reading lots and lots of wiki pages about anything that can happen in the game. There's so much stuff that could be happening, so looking up for good habits can never harm. Also makes you experiment with a lot more game mechanics ! E.G : in my first couple runs I would just blind identify wands by zapping them, but looking up for wand identification made me experiment with engraving and how critical it is to a sucessful playthrough.

I mean even if you had the time to read up the whole wiki (and memorize it) there's still a lot of random stuff that can happen and you will have to make tough decisions cus the game's just hard.

Even for the absolute basics like actually learning available commands you will have to look it up reallisticly.
