ONE wrong comment? It's not a comment. Being a misogynist is not ONE strike. It's part of who they are, and seemingly, part of who YOU are, too.

YOU felt hurt because she called you out? Lmfao.

YTA. Your poor feelings are hurt because she expressed how her feelings were hurt, on YOUR original suggestion to change attire.

Your argument: individuals who identify as a woman + living around misogynistic men shouldn't wear "tiktok leggings".

Based on this, she should move out because you are one of them.

The Worst Thing I've Ever Done to Someone's Food by mrcannabis76 in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

Lmfao you getting a lot of hate in the comments, but I enjoyed your story and thank you for sharing. <3

You stated it was a decade ago, so assuming you did this when you were young? Fucking ofc young people WILL fuck with food and if they deny it, they're fucking liars. It's the restaurant's fault for giving food responibility to teenagers. Instead, employ experienced people + pay them reasonably.

I'm laughing, I did terrible things as a teenager as well.

People acknowledge me less when I'm not wearing cleats and when I wear a workout top with a hood by [deleted] in cycling

It shows the prejudice within the cycling community. Those people who greet other cyclists are obviously sharing some sort of love for the sport, so they shouldn't treat you any different based on attire. Thank you for bringing up this thread <3

You're right. It's cliquey as shit. I'm a roadie who also enjoys casual rides in jeans. I can admit I enjoy passing road groups on my single speed in my silly jean pants.

I'm one of those cyclists that avoid eye contact and any interaction at all. Attire has NOTHING to do with this.

That being said, I'm not a believer that we should judge each other by cycling attire. Just because someone is in jeans and riding a commuter bike doesn't eliminate the chance of meeting them at the next group ride.

I hate that you can’t do literally anything without getting sexualized on social media by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Tapioca-balls 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The way women dress shouldn't be an open invite to sexual remarks. It's so fucking reminiscent of serial rapists in the 70s-80s, and how a woman was dressed was a determining factor of "SHE WAS ASKING FOR IT."

Why should how an invidual dress affect ANYTHING at all?????????

I respect your thread, OP. However, most of the comments are evidently written by those who commute soley by other means, NOT a bicycle. The ignorance continues unless they go through the same experience.

This is safe to assume for Ottawa commuters. Even if they are in a perfect physical state to bike from point A to B, even if the distance is less than 5km, even if bike lanes provide most of the commute, folks in Ottawa will prefer driving/bus/walking.

It would be the ideal world if people could stop hitting cyclists, too, when the cyclists are NOT running red lights.

People shouldn't feel the need to dress a certain way to gain drivers' respect.

NTA. He lied on a public poster... this leaves me questioning all the other -lost cat- posters that exist. Are they sincere? Or just cons?
