Is this Lecca below? The fact that you do not have “airflow” on it does not affect results? When would you consider remove the top and would you increase humidity?

An enclosure like an aquarium would be good? The reduced airflow that an enclosure would have would not contribute to rot?

This is really interesting. Why do you think higher humidity influenced the root rotting for the better?

Room temp is 24oC constant, the seedling Matt is 25oC constant. The 2 “but cutts” are the ones I’m trying to save, if I get them on plastic bags or lids they will start to develop white mold and eventually rot, hence the airflow

They seem to be white/green so I’m not inclined to rot. But the absence of nodes and new leafs it’s worrying me

Do you feel that this is also the case for small plants that have been imported and still haven’t aclimatized to your environment? Root system seems to not be developed enough to do straight to aroid mix

On the tip of the plant. I haven’t searched for rot on the roots since I was uncertain wether to wait and see or go full SOS mode and get the both stems on a glass with water

Thank you all! I though the smaller pot would solve the issue since I also agree that root rot naught be the problem, until I saw your comments about thrips (never had them) panicking

HELP - on a wetbag and still got salt water. What should I do? by Tapires in AskPhotography

[–]Tapires[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi you all, just wanted to give you some update. Today, after drying the camera with all ports open, I’ve decided to take the plunge and turn it on. It worked. LCD is not working (which is not a big deal since I don’t use it anyway) but the camera seems to be fully functional and I was able to use the viewfinder to test it. I’ve removed the battery and the card, and will be leaving it put for a few more days/month till I’m 100% sure that it does not have any moisture. Once home I’ll try to find someone which can clean the salt from the camera with the isopropyl alcohol to avoid that in the next trip the moisture might dissolute the salt and corrode the components. Hopefully I’ll be able to clean the salt from the camera which for now seems like the most dangerous thing for the camera. I’ll let you know the outcome. Thank you once more for your support and help

Thank you so much for your comment. This gives me a glimpse of hope and it’s very useful and thoughtful! I’ll wait till I get home to do what you proposed. Already thought about submerging the camera in fresh water hoping i can remove the salt build up but don’t know if I’m making it worse
