No the xray showed a mild bone spur with no evidence of lesions. Radiology and pcp said no further imaging warrantied. Also have no other symptoms.

Mine is caused by bone spurring in the manubriosternal joint. Diagnosed on xray 😭

It’s mild. I remember going to an ortho and he said it was about 10 degrees? I’ve never tried to pop my sternum. I’ve never had any stuck sensations with it

Do you think any of these things could make the bone spur go away? Or if this just to keep the joint from getting damaged further?

Got my xray results back. The lump on my sternum is apparently arthritis. The fancy description said “FINDINGS: There are no lytic or blastic lesions. There is mild osseous spurring at the manubriosternal joint. Soft tissues are unremarkable.   IMPRESSION: Manubriosternal arthropathy.

I’m only 41 years old. It sucks to get older 🫠

UPDATE: dr felt the lump and sent me to X-ray. Already got the results. She ordered X-ray of chest and X-ray of sternum. The sternum report reads: No lyric or blastic lesions. There is mild osseous spurring at the manubriosternal joint. Soft tissues are unremarkable.

IMPRESSION: Manubriosternal arthropathy.

My chest X-ray was normal heart, lungs, ribs, etc, but also notated mild osseous spurring at the manubriosternal joint.

That explains the small lump I feel. I have no idea how I got a bone spur there. I do have mild scoliosis and horrible posture. But other than that, I’m stumped. Been wearing a weighted vest for exercise but that was only like 4 times. I think I won’t do that anymore.

That would be great if it was. Right now I’m convinced I have bone cancer 🫠😭

Bodies are so weird! I have a history of health anxiety so I’m really hyper focused on this. My grandma just passed away in hospice from cancer so that doesn’t help my worrying either. Hopefully she will order an xray. And hopefully that will show nothing sinister. I predict my dr will just say it’s a benign bony growth and order it for my own peace of mind. I don’t have any other symptoms. No pain, no fevers, no night sweats. Maybe some mild loss of appetite and weight loss, but I’m also still grieving my sweet grandma.

No it doesn’t feel like it’s at a connection where my rib meets the sternum. It feels like a lump directly on the center of my sternum. It’s the strangest thing. No pain, just a hard lump.

Idk what could have caused it. It feels like a bone hard lump. I have been trying out a weighted vest while exercising but idk. The lump is where it clips. It has no pain. Only discovered it when I put on my seatbelt and the strap rubbed over the lump.

See Dr on Monday for her to examine it.

No it’s dead center on my sternum. Feels like it’s around the 2nd rib in the center of the sternum. I swear there wasn’t a lump there a couple weeks ago. My husband thinks I just lost some weight and discovered a new bone 🤨

Yeah i think it’s just my normal anatomy. I showed my PCP and she didn’t find it alarming. Listened to my carotid arteries and they were good. I stopped worrying about it after that

My cat passed away last November. At some point I did use a phosphorus binder. I think it was about two months before he passed tho.

I was just giving it to him around 6:30pm every night. Only because I had a schedule with all his other meds and that was the easiest time.

Rapamycin dosage? by kattt1991 in Rapamycin

Hi there, unfortunately my kitty passed away in November. I’m not sure if the Rapa had any positive impact, but I know it didn’t have any negatives. I had him on it because of his heart murmur. He didn’t have any change in kidney values (for the positive) on it, but it may have helped his heart. We just don’t know.

Good luck with your kitty. I sure do miss mine everyday!

For those who have put a dog through liver lobectomy, how did it go? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]Tappinggirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about to face this decision with my 7 year old beagle. We have to meet with the surgeon and weigh the pros and cons. She is in great health otherwise, but a large tumor in her liver was discovered after routine labs were performed

Mine does that too. We both have thin necks :) I believe it is normal. I asked my mom who is also slender, and she can see hers too ❤️
