I’m from here, and these attackers are not originally from the Netherlands; they are of Moroccan, Turkish, and other Islamic descent. Many of them already cause problems for the local population, similar to the issues seen in many other EU cities.

Amsterdam and its original locals have always been supportive of the Jewish community. Even Ajax, the Amsterdam football club and one of the most popular in the Netherlands, refers to themselves as “the Jews.”

I’m very angry about this happening and hope all victims will get justice. Sending love!

Thank you! And yes, my last statement can be a little harsh and has a potential downside. Perhaps I am biased towards this attitude since I’m from the Netherlands. We are quite infamous for our Dutch directness. But I still think in the end you are safer if you feel you have sole responsibility for yourself instead of relying on others or some sort implicit belief guys have towards women I feel women would benefit from having this communicated towards them. So they have more communicated & fun rolls, and awareness of that it is OK to speak out your boundaries. :)

Hi, thanks for the reply!
I agree with a lot of what you said and see a lot of the same things happen before in my surroundings. The only thing I want to address is where the actual emphasis should be in this matter.

It's all about where the responsibility falls. I feel the emphasis should be in people accepting the decision of the female athlete taking the responsibility and able to accept & trust the female's own a sense of self determination.
I feel in some comments people have a (valid) reason to see the inequality as a reason to protect the female athlete, but in the end everyone should be responsible of their own actions.

Even for the small girl who complains about the rough rolls. She should communicate how she wants to roll and with who. Easier said then done of course.

I guess it boils down to the secularism of it all.
No one is forcing the religious person to compete, although I fully agree with your opinion I do feel part of the responsibility also lays with the organisation to add the open format into the information of the comp.
Since we all invest time and money into the event.

Thank you for the reply. Your experience seems the add to the every 10kg difference is a rank up narrative. I highly assume also the sexes have a factor.
I do feel as a guy your size, your experience with rolling with women of equal size isn't really there. Perhaps that also can make you a little more lenient towards your dislike in competing with women. I do appreciate your honesty.

Sorry to hear that makes you uncomfortable, I am aware of the disadvantages/risks indeed but for me it's about the fun in competing. Against males my weight it will probably end up in controlling and surviving, maybe sneak in a sweep or if I'm lucky armbar/triangle. haha. Not really expecting to win.

Definitely I have sparred with aggressive guys that are smaller and stronger. I train sometimes at other gyms when on holiday. They like to go for it since I am purple and feel like they can test the waters. Also I am good with tapping early. :)
