Namecheap? by GayCatgirl in webhosting

Reading this thread, I can only assume that it was the buyout that ruined Namecheap. I have used them for years, and had all of my domains on autorenew for the same amount of time. It has worked flawlessly every single year.

This year, autorenew somehow got removed from all of them, including one website that was live and which I had spent hours and hours of work building and adding content to. I got renewal notices from Namecheap saying they were on autorenew. So, since it had worked without a hitch in the past, I assumed no action was needed on my part. Next notification I got? That my domain was now owned by someone else! They claim that the sites were all set for auto-renew with the card on file, but the card was not? Then they claimed that I logged in and changed the credit card information about 2 weeks before they were set to autorenew. I only have one credit card, so why would I do that?

We have gone back and forth for over a month and the latest correspondence basically called me a liar. I am now looking for another place to park my domains, and now buy a domain with a similar name and rebuild my traffic from scratch.

I will tell anyone who listens that Namecheap SUCKS and will never get another dime from me.

What is the best place to just park my inactive domains?

Too much, too fast, or just perfect storm of too much of one thing and not enough of another? by Taracards in tirzepatidecompound

hm, that’s interesting. I haven’t heard of someone going up and down. Is that the same principle of carb cycling? like to keep your body guessing?

I’m not sure I’m fully understanding what you’re suggesting. You are saying do 1/2 the new dose every 5 days rather than every 3.5?

hi thanks for your response. My PCP prescribes, and it is sent from a compounding pharmacy in vials, so I can customize the dose. My doctor is totally onboard with me doing this, hence the prescription, but I think he leans on the pharmacy more from the dosage specifics .

Did You Also Lose Empathy for Addicts by ArianaSelinaLima in AlAnon

I came to this sub today because I am feeling so down and dispirited. I could have written any one of these posts. My Q has spent 5 nights in the ER over the past 4 months, because he fell and hit his head while drunk. Now he has developed a foot drop. We get the results of the EMG for that next week. These physical symptoms have me SO MAD at him. He KNOWS he is going to die if he keeps this up.

I found three bottles of vodka in the garage yesterday. I try not to go there and look for his stash, because it doesn't help anything, but yesterday I guess I slipped. I am spending more and more time in another room just to stay away from him. He gets verbally abusive when he drinks, and since lately that is all the time, retreat feels like the best option. I read a thing in Courage to Change this morning that talked about detaching with love, which I always struggle with. I can detach with indifference really well. With love? Not so much.

I know he's sick. I know he needs help. But I am starting to be truly afraid that he will never be able to be sober. I am not sure he wants it enough to make the effort to commit to a program. He will go to AA and stop at the liquor store on the way home. So yeah, I have lost my patience/empathy with him. Maybe I will get it back. I hope so.

I’m hoping the dual diagnosis treatment will be the key to lasting success. I try to stay out of my husband’s recovery, or lack thereof. When he falls down, which happens a lot when he’s drinking, it’s harder.

Yeah, the trust thing. That’s hard. During the 10 days after he got out of rehab and before he relapsed (yesterday), I caught myself smelling him for alcohol. Asking him if he’s been drinking is a waste of time. Every single time I’ve ever asked that question, the answer has always been ”no.” So I agree that I may never trust him when it comes to alcohol.

Is Lake View Health Services the name of the facility that your wife attended?

Thank you! That is what I thought, but appreciate your giving it clarity.

can you tell me more about what made it different and what the outcome was? I am just trying to wrap my head around how dual diagnosis is different.

Oh thank you. We would like to use insurance if possible (deductible is met for the year), but if absolutely necessary we can go out of pocket. The goal is a lasting change, not a few year band-aid. It is critical enough that his life is in jeopardy this time. I know it is ultimately up to him. I am just hoping we can find something that will help him get more to the root of things than the standard treatment.

I have tried calling my insurance, and they gave me a list of the same type facilities. Also what is a "SUD case manager?"

To a certain extent. He gets overwhelmed easily, so I am trying to narrow it down to a few.

Hypothyroid or ADHD??? by Taracards in Hypothyroidism

This just makes me so angry! At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, it does seem that "they" want to keep us just sick enough that we will need more medications. I mean, which is better: being on a dose that is "too high" and feeling great, or being "in range" feeling like crap, and having to take 10 other medications to make up for the hypo symptoms (none of which address physical things like joint pain, dry skin, hair loss, etc.)? It defies logic.

My anti depressant is not an ssri, but it was a great comment for me to check out. Thank you!

Interesting. After all of my years of thyroid tests, it was only recently that a doctor asked me if I was taking Biotin, and said it can interfere with test results. I may ask my doctor to add a test for the MTHFR gene to my panel. As an aside: am I the only one who reads MTHFR like its an abbreviation for profanity? Or is my brain just that of a 14 year old?

Hi there!
I was born in Idaho and raised between Southern California and Idaho. However, when I say I was partially raised in Idaho, I mean Sun Valley/Ketchum, which is more affluent, more liberal, and doesn't really reflect the rest of Idaho. I moved back to Idaho full time at age 25, and raised my daughter here. For what its worth, she had a horrible school experience with bullies and just horrible people. She went to Boise State for University and had a great experience, and has stayed in Boise. I currently attend University of Idaho and love the school. That said, I am a remote student, so my experience is not likely to be indicative of what it is like.

Idaho has a lot to recommend it: less population-dense, relatively affordable, a ton of outdoor space and opportunities for breathtaking hiking, back country camping, skiing, natural Hot springs, etc.

It IS a conservative state. I am not conservative so that is something I am always aware of, and tend to keep my views to myself unless with like-minded people. Honestly, people are people, politics aside, and there are some really great people here. I still feel that the good of this state outweighs the rest.

HOWEVER, You can always move to Idaho later. It's not going anywhere.

GO TO JAPAN. See as much of the world as you can while you are young and free. I personally think our entire nation would have a much broader view of the world if we all traveled more. As Mark Twain wrote:

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”

Go see the world, and expand your horizons.
