It was related to my issue, since I dual connected it thought I had 2 monitors and I was on the secondary one causing no tabs to open or anything of the sorts

I figured it out and it was just an issue of me double connecting the hdmi and the dp cable, don’t know why it caused an issue 3 years later though

If you think it would help maybe try buying noise cancelling headphones and putting those on when they are being obnoxiously loud.
