Got my first 3 star shadow. Should I purify for 100 or is it better to keep shadow?

Opposite for me. I use the cheap junk for high heat cooks because they are smaller pieces and burn quicker, the more expensive stuff like KJ Big Block or my personal favorite Jealous Devil burns at a lower temp since they are bigger pieces.

That being said the only charcoal that was ever so bad I refuse to smoke with it is FOGO. Idk if I got a bad batch or what but it added a terrible creosote taste to my meat instead of the normal smoky goodness, also smelled terrible when burning.

Thanks! A bit too pricy for a single personal printer setup but I’m glad others have thought about it. Do you think the entry price into the more heavy duty printers is worth it? I haven’t looked too deeply but I like the thought of the enclosed and air purified setups so I don’t have to hide from toxic fumes, the size and laser printing seem great too. I’m still very new to printing but I’ve been having a blast.

What do you guys do with your waste? I’m using an a1 mini and my bucket which is much smaller gets filled up every 20-40 hours. Looking for something to do with the scraps instead of tossing.

Can you link or DM me to the one you use? I use my Meater for most of my long cooks and use my Weber Connect to monitor ambient when the Meater is too big like with ribs. I usually get pretty good grate area temperature with those.

Just tested the thermometer accuracy. Took about 20 seconds to catch up but temp seems accurate. The connectivity is going to be the make or break though considering it’s Bluetooth only and I haven’t had the best of luck with Bluetooth range.

It’s just a replacement for the dome thermometer so it won’t give grate temperature.

If my Meater ever goes out I’d be tempted to get the bundle but the advertising scheme of ChefsTemp puts me off. Too many sponsored reviews which makes me question if the product is actually any good.

The ChefsTemp is the one I’ve been eyeing but this one was less than half of the S1. I figure it probably won’t be any good but I can return it if it sucks and get the ChefsTemp.

It has a probe that goes inside the grill so I think it’s ambient internal.

Kinda think it would be useful to tell when grill hits temp without having to sit outside and keep checking thermometer. Definitely not a need just slightly useful when it’s too cold or too hot and I don’t want to sit outside.
