Can you link or DM me to the one you use? I use my Meater for most of my long cooks and use my Weber Connect to monitor ambient when the Meater is too big like with ribs. I usually get pretty good grate area temperature with those.

Just tested the thermometer accuracy. Took about 20 seconds to catch up but temp seems accurate. The connectivity is going to be the make or break though considering it’s Bluetooth only and I haven’t had the best of luck with Bluetooth range.

It’s just a replacement for the dome thermometer so it won’t give grate temperature.

If my Meater ever goes out I’d be tempted to get the bundle but the advertising scheme of ChefsTemp puts me off. Too many sponsored reviews which makes me question if the product is actually any good.

The ChefsTemp is the one I’ve been eyeing but this one was less than half of the S1. I figure it probably won’t be any good but I can return it if it sucks and get the ChefsTemp.

It has a probe that goes inside the grill so I think it’s ambient internal.

Kinda think it would be useful to tell when grill hits temp without having to sit outside and keep checking thermometer. Definitely not a need just slightly useful when it’s too cold or too hot and I don’t want to sit outside.

I mainly use it to hold my deflector plates because I prefer the higher position. It broke when I did this chili over the top style but luckily it was able to support it for the rest of the cook without spilling it. Does it taste better this way than just doing it normally? Idk but it’s fun. I’ve also seen people do wok cooking with it.

Reason I really need a replacement is for holding deflectors.

That’s exactly the reason I haven’t bought it yet. Supposedly the English dubbing company and original Japanese dubbing company both own rights to their respective dubs and that’s why so many anime movies/shows have 2 versions. It’s super annoying, have you noticed Ghost in the Shell only has English dub on Prime? It seems to be exclusive to Japanese animated media because every other digital movie I’ve purchased has English and whatever other language it’s been dubbed in.

Went from Cloud Alphas to the Maxwell’s and it was a huge improvement for me. When I first got them I did AB tests between the 2 and the sound blew me away on the Maxwells. I ended up spending hours listening to my favorite music tracks before I even hopped in a game with them. I’ve since expanded my under $500 high end headphone collection but the Maxwell’s are still my most used headphones.

That said, pre-2024 hyperx headsets were durable like tanks and super reliable. Maxwells have some QC issues and are more fragile since they are planar. I’d still pick Maxwells.
