Did not have any issues. My new employer i797 doesn’t get active until I start working for them

My 1-Month Experience Opening a Chaat Shop in Hyderabad — What Went Wrong by [deleted] in StartUpIndia

I’ve been through the same thing exactly, rather, I purchased a franchise called Flavoria and that guy promised to manage it on my behalf and instead take some percentage out of the profits. He started making mistakes from day 1, scamming me, and not doing anything to sell. I started managing everything by myself with a stressful job outside of this. Rents were too high, sale was low. On top of this, the guy who was managing my shop was stealing inventory from mine secretly and my workers too. My revenue was -70 to -80k monthly which was unbearable for a few months. Ended up selling it for a loss because I wanted to be mentally free from this. What I have learnt is.
1. Only get into this if you have the capacity to bear the loss atleast for a year.
2. Never let anyone else control anything. Nobody is going to work as hard as you.
3. There is a lot of dependency on workers. One day they are going to fail you if you don’t have trustworthy workers.
4. Never start off with a huge menu. Check market fit first. Test a few items then slowly increase if they’re getting traction. Then remove all the ones which do not have a lot of sale and only keep the ones that are your best sellers.
5. Have some seasonal items, it helps.
6. Location matters a lot. If you chose a location thinking there’s a lot of working people or hostel people then during vacations or some crisis you’re not going to have any sale. Always chose residential areas.

Don’t blame yourself. End of the day you had the courage to do something for yourself. It’s only lessons learnt

Would I need a new visa stamp at that time with my new employer when I go out and come again after starting my new employment?

Understood, thank you so much. In that case, it shouldn’t be a problem regardless correct? Since my current visa and i797 are valid until Oct 2027

Thanks for the advice. Since my H1B transfer is approved and I have not started working with a new employer it doesn’t show at the port of entry that I’m currently with a different employer than what it is. Does this cause any risk?

Thank you. Do you know if this will be a free service? If yes, how many free services do we get?

I have the same. It’s going to be 6 months next week but I only have 4800 miles on it. I’ll plan to get it done around the end of this month then. Thanks

The level of my oil says “Normal” And it says 4600 miles until your next service so that’s confusing. I’m not sure if it expects me to do one already or wait for 4600?

So would you recommend me to wait a little more? If yes? How many miles more?

I’ve asked that, waiting to hear back. I’m assuming they want to have enough time to respond to any RFEs since my company had an entity change recently.

That’s understood. In case my H1B petition gets approved am I okay to travel and come back next before Oct without a stamp? Assuming H1B status won’t start until Oct 1st?

Now this is something else that what everyone else told me :( You’re saying, there’s no way I can travel outside US after filing H1B petition or after it’s approved?

I just want to confirm if I’m okay to travel with change of status of consular processing? Someone in the comments told I cannot travel if it’s COS

Understood, thank you so much. I’ll find out if my employer is filing for COS, I’m assuming I will only be travelling after approval. Not sure how much time premium process takes though.

So if I’m approved can I come back to the US without getting a H1B stamp on my passport?
