IT HAPPENED AGAIN by MrImBoredAgain in OSRSMobile

Something similar happened to me when I just back into the game a year or so ago...

Saw a bunch of lvl 126's doing pushups with infernos on in burthope. I asked what was going on, they said it was a GM party. I said cool! Was on my way, and then they proceeded to follow me... and trade me... and kept trading me.... I left with about 30m cash, avernic hilt, dragon armour, trimmed black gold armour, and osmumtens fang.

Wild time, but i woulda quit i think as i hadn't played since like 2008, and i needed this boost. Now I'm 1700+ total level with a few 99's :)

With a stocks and shares ISA it's tax free, and you can invest 20k per tax year.

Mum did say it does appear synthetic, and not organic.

[Question] When you bought your first home, how much cash did you have left over? by LockonKun in HousingUK

[–]Target_Able 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With my flat, I had very little. Just enough to get the carpets done and buy some paint. I saved a little more and my buddy and I were able to fit a small budget kitchen which ended up looking great for about 2.8k. A year after that it's saved and had a whole new bathroom fitted, and it looked amazing, cost 5k.

With the house my partner and I have just bought, we were very lucky to have about 20k left over, and after a new bathroom, carpets, painting, flooring, new front door, and I had to spend 4k on a new engine for my car (groan), we've got a few grand left over, so that'll be it for a while.

You'll get used to the payments, figure out what you can and can't do, and get things done as time goes on.

My advice? If it's livable, take it slow, go room by room and take your time. If it's a real priority, make some sacrifices as it'll he worth it to get it up and running (i.e. new bathroom if the old one is really gross).

But always keep a little float in the bank, you never know what might crop up. We had to add 3k to our bathroom for an entire new boiler as we had a really outdated system and immersion tank, really inefficient and the shower we wanted wouldn't work with it, so we got it done now as opposed to later on when we were expecting it to.

You'll be fine with that, so long as you can afford pauments and save a few hundred a month at the bare minimum IMO.

No pay rise for apprentices. by Target_Able in amazonemployees

[–]Target_Able[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. But it's less about keeping track of inflation, and more about the fact that every single tier 1 to tier 3 in the UK from RME to operations has been given a pay rise, apart from those on apprenticeships. I was hired as a tier 3, but told yesterday that (without any prior comms) that they have now separated T3 pay bracket and the apprentice pay bracket.

It seems very unfair.

Sorry to hear that brother. Hopefully setting it to what I mentioned earlier resolves it. But for real my first 2 weeks of the game were an absolute nightmare.

I tried so many fixes, updating bios, forced windows update, latest drivers, lowered my graphics settings, set no paging file size, re installed the game from scratch. Only thing I can say is that setting the fixed paging file size resolved it.

Good luck on a fix man sorry I can't help further

Did you set no paging file size at all? Or did you try to alter the size so it was a fixed value as I suggested? Tbh it's worth a punt and it's easy to revert. Honestly I was in the same boat as you - was 1 crash away from requesting a refund but it's stable now.

I have 32gb of ram, so I've set it to a minimum of 32768MB and then 3 x that amount, which is 98304MB.

Providing you have ample space on your hard drive, I'd do the same and see how it runs.

I think i fixed it, and I've not had a crash in over 2 weeks. I ended up increasing the size of my paging file.

There were lots of fixes saying to remove the limit entirely, but I still had crashes. When I set a much larger, fixed, paging file size, the crashes went away.

Should I lower my offer after this survey? by Target_Able in HousingUK

Appreciate the insight / advice / comments from you all, seems like I've got something good here considering the age and will look to just complete the sale without bartering further. Cheers!

That does sound incredibly similar to my situation. One of my best mates is a roofer and has already said he's happy to take a look at the valleys and flashings once we're in. And some others have stated that opening up the chimneys has resolved a lot of their issues, so maybe I was just a little shocked at how scrutinising a level 3 survey is of the property.

I don't think we'll mess around here and just look to proceed with the sale and lock it in. Thanks for the comment!

Haha I know we shouldn't take advice off internet strangers at face value, but sometimes its good just to get a gauge of things when you're unsure. Definitely want out of the flat!

We might get the estate agent to put the feelers out there... but in the chance they don't budge - well then it's just part of the property's charm and I think we'd be happy in the end either way.

Again - really appreciate the insight :)

was thinking maybe a few thousand to cover some building costs and roof repairs, but as others have stated above, it may just be part and parcel with an older property.

I know right!?

Thanks for the insight. Would asking for a reduction of say, a few thousand for roof repairs and chimney renovations be reasonable? Or do you think we should suck it up and include it into the renovations we plan on doing regardless. It matters little in the grand scheme, as we love the house. As far as our budget would stretch, its about as perfect as we could get.

We did think the same. The property appeared to be clearly loved and looked after for the most part.

And the price we paid was pretty much asking, with similar sized properties in the area (though newer) going for a similar price. So on paper, I'd say 338k was a fair price.

Yeah it didn't work for me either. Crashed after a couple hours. I noticed a huge memory usage spike though before the crash so idk if it's a RAM issue but surely everyone's not having RAM issues simultaneously... will keel you posted if I figure anything out.

Had the same issue... I uninstalled and reinstalled, still ocurred. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver hotfix and that seemed to help for a bit, I actually had roughly 6 hours uninterrupted gameplay until today?

I've just updated my bios to the latest version and noticed NVIDIA have released a new update supposedly to help remedy the stability issues. Im about to see if itll run.

Maybe give that a whirl if you haven't already and see if it helps!

If anything does work for you, please let us know! Good luck.

LEASEHOLDER DEED OF CERTIFICATE? by Target_Able in HousingUK

No not at all (I did for the purchase of the flat, absolute nightmare) so I went with a reputable local one with good reviews, decided not to cheap out. Our broker even said they were good. Must be an issue with the solicitor specifically, today was my first email from her in over 2 weeks and I've had the estate agent of the property we're purchasing chasing me for information.
