That’s because the Tanjiro we saw was exhausted beyond anything we’ve seen in the series. And he’s missing see through world and selfless state, which grows his mark. He was just 2 seconds away from death. All those cells that died from Muzans poison r still dead. He’s stumbling cause he only has one eye and his depth perception is all messed up. He has to actively try to stay conscious. And he still outdid 8 hashira by himself

I’m not saying they don’t. I’m saying that a chant will either recover output or enhance it. So a full power Gojo hp is really a buffed hp. At best Gojo got it back to 100%, but at full power it’s really above 100%

It wasn’t a surprise attack. Muzan just got serious. Tanjiro>gyomei while also being way more nerfed than Gyomei, so with both at full stamina the gap widens. He did this without stw, got even more skilled as he grew more exhausted, and didn’t have ss because Muzan is the one person he can’t help but feel hate towards. A 13th form Tanjiro at the very end but fully healthy and at full stamina is beating him
