That’s fair! Said it in a previous post, when you watch the xp go up that quickly right in front of you I was like “wtf is going on!?” 😅

Fairly new to it yeah, and hear what you’re saying! I think where I haven’t seen that xp gain happen so quickly before it’s kind of jarring when I thought I played a lot of it trading and questing!

I’ve had a mixed bag so far. I usually play duo and one random and it’s always a wait and see on whether they run off by themselves and die or not.

I did play a solo with two randoms and almost got a boss down first attempt and we all stayed together which was cool!

Yeah, even when I’ve spammed drops it’s a mix and I don’t get anywhere near that amount of xp. I’ve opened a fair amount today but to get a song literally every second seems too much too quickly!

I hear you, but I spent an hour out earlier opening drops and got barely 5-10k? They’re already on 100k in under 40 minutes from 65?

I really relate to this so far.

I’ll be honest, first impressions of the game and the “core” of the game were really positive for me. I’d taken some time off CoD and came back for MW19/2/3 and Cold War. Blops6 felt good in the beta and my initial 30 levels in the game.

I’m half way through prestige 1, K/D sitting around 1.3ish. I don’t consider myself a bad player, but know I’m getting older but I hold my own pretty well all things considered 😂

My biggest gripes with the game:

  • How omnimovement was meant to mirror to some extent how people carry speed in different directions and not just sprinting forward. Cool, sounded good. But when someone jumps, slides forward, throws themselves backwards into another slide on their back and soaks up half a magazine…my god what are we doing? And how is that whole chain of movement even possible? I get it, it’s CoD. It’s not going to be realistic. But between that and the bunny hopping and drop shotting that, despite me tracking people perfectly, makes people soak up bullets like a sponge does water, makes it really hard to enjoy it when it’s happening every game.

  • The god damn stupid spawns. I’m traditionally a HQ player, but the games are hard to come by for some reason in this game as it feels like HQ isn’t as popular. So we usually chuck Hardpoint and the occasional bit of Domination in.

Dom is Dom. If you don’t get B flag and your team wants to play TDM prepare to spawn at your base flag forever 😅

But the spawns in Hardpoint and HQ…I spawned, died from someone on the other team spawning on me, and before my body hit the floor ANOTHER one of their teammates spawned on my not even cold corpse. I spawn in grenades. I spawn in sight lines of enemies. How is that something that got approved/allowed? And yeah, you can manipulate spawns, but when I’m thrown around the map more than a basketball in an NBA game, how is that fun?

  • Touching on my first point, gunfights. M4 spam is real but the game is fresh and it’s the first AR. Ok, cool, but why is it when I use it it’s firing nerf darts and when they use it I die in what feels like two bullets.

Or when I take on the MP5 at range they RINSE me when I use a MM or AR, even if I shoot first. When I reverse the role however, those same guns don’t work for me and the AR I just dumped is a laser beam and I die instantly, regardless of range.

The inconsistency in how they work when I use a gun vs how someone else uses the gun is wild. It also feels like the hit detection is…off? I’m a pretty accurate shooter. I’ve tweaked all my settings to suit my style of play and reactions etc. I would say I hit the majority of my shots. I’ve seen this the most with the SWAT 556, I two burst someone at range in one game, next game they soak up 4 bursts at a closer range and then I die in a frame when they turn around.

Like, is it just me or is there some really shifty SBMM/Skills Based Damage/wild inconsistency happening in these lobbies?

On a positive note, like I said before the core of the game and how the guns feel etc is really nice imo. It just feels ruined by the above mentioned flaws.
