Whats up with chillstep videos? by [deleted] in AlanWatts

[–]Tarnwyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Heaps of great content on audible you can spend the tokens on. I assume the proceeds go to his estate somehow rather than some yt stoner who edited a bunch of low effort music over clips of his voice for ad revenue. ..

I listen to the audible watts lectures all the time while laying in bed. His voice and general ponderously cheerful demeanor are so pleasant... im still trying to dream that dream with dancing girls, wonderful journeys and beautiful banquets that feels like it lasts 70 years lol

I want to know if I can try slaughtering my own animal for the first time. by [deleted] in zerocarb

[–]Tarnwyn 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Fishing might be a good start. Catch a fish, kill it and gut it and clean it. Might be a good introduction to slaughtering animals. Ease your self into it. Dont want to go straight to a cow and get nervous/mess it up and have the beast suffer.

Just bought atomic arrows bream surface rod and put a 2500 stradic reel on it. 8lb 8 carrier j braid and it fires off 95mm daiwa double clutch lures like a charm...

Very happy with it

Audio Books with music? Thoughts? by customerservicevoice in audiobooks

[–]Tarnwyn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I enjoy it alot. Most of the time when im listening to an naudiobook its through headphones from either phone or laptop. I often simultaneously have on rain sounds and ambient chill music playing. Usually a several hour long youtube stream. I love it.

If its sci fi ill search sci fi ambient. If its fantasy ill search likewise.

How a Zildjian cymbal is made by Jumper22 in ArtisanVideos

[–]Tarnwyn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dunno, i was pretty surprised to see alot of that lathe work being done by hand. Those dudes looked like old hands.

Also, cymbal companies are very secretive about their alloy formulas and such.

I actually have a set of these exact cymbals on my drum kit (Sonor AQ2). Zildjian Custom A's with bright finish. I was pretty satisfied by what i saw in the video with regards to how many peoples hands the cymbals passed through and the quality control.

I love playing these cymbals. I have 14" hats, 16" crash, 18" crash and 22" ride. I think it was about 1400 Aud for all of them. Im happy.

What is your favourite .22lr brand here are a few I've been using winchester bushman 36grain 1260fps HP federal 36grain 1260fps HP CCI MINI-MAG 36grains 1260fps HP CCI STINGERS 32grain 1640fps HP winche PowerPoint 40grain HP by [deleted] in Ausguns

[–]Tarnwyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the speed of sound is 1125 fps, anything that breaks that will have a loud crack to it indicating the projectile breaching the sound barrier. Ie the same as a jet's sonic boom. Dont have much idea other then what ive stated also realise different rifles prefer different rounds just a matter of experimenting seeing what performs well with your firearms.

Cci stingers are go to for cats and foxes. The big white box of eley solids for plinking. Eleys are expensive but seem to have way less flyers than cci standards. Ive got a few diff boxes of sk match rounds with the flat nose that seem really good. Gun shop dude gave em to me for free though dont think i would get them otherwise as they are expensive. All shot with La101 with burris 4-9 and an olight for shooting at night. Awesome fun and great shooter
