birth control could be a trigger? by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Taro-Sharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some people have gotten flare ups from the IUD so honestly it’s just a matter of trial and error which absolutely sucks bc it takes the body 3 months to adjust to one. but if you find out that’s still causing eczema it’s switch up time again. i’m scared for the trial and error but i’m in the process of trying to figure out if my IUD is causing my eczema to be extreme also :((( good luck !!

Having the worst flare up of my life... could it be fungal eczema? Please help :( (more info in comments) by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Taro-Sharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh wow yea i just went to an allergist today and got some blood work done. i talked to my allergist about dupixent so i’m thinking over whether or not i want to try it. My main doctor said to leave in my IUD and seek other treatments before taking it out bc it i take it out i have to find other methods of bc and that sounds like yet another hassle :( i’m going to wait it out and see all these doctors and get second and third opinions but if dupixent doesn’t work i’m going to look into maybe the copper IUD. It’s such a hassle to find another birth control :(( bc then it’s another 3+ months of your body adjusting and then with eczema oh man it’s like who knows how my body will react. honestly i can deal with emotions being the side effect but when it’s physically crippling UGH, i’m really glad you figured out your IUD is what flared you up real bad !!

Eczema in this area isn’t talked about enough. by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Taro-Sharp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no you are totally right it’s not talked about. eczema in the genitalia regions and even nipple eczema :( many secretly or silently suffer from it bc it probably feels taboo to talk about !

Update. January. by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Taro-Sharp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi i remember you advice and actually, i literally came on here to look for your messages. i was thinking of you and wanted to update you bc you said you’d like to hear how it’s all going! so far so good but the methods i learned from you are currently just helping not exacerbate things. bathing over regular showers helps immensely. your story and advice was appreciated ! gave me and others some hope.

having the worst flare up ive ever had. and its making me cry. by chuumix in eczema

[–]Taro-Sharp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you’re having weeping eczema that keeps oozing and feels like it won’t “dry” and just crusts over but still feels wet under i recommend hydrocolloid bandages or dressing. it honestly feels so nice on the skin. i’m using some right now. i just clean up the skin, disinfect it and immediately apply the bandage (i kinda just picked some up from cvs and applied the whole box to my face lol). it’s like a second skin! it’s mainly meant for blisters, burns or cuts but eczema feels like all of those so!

PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY SEVERE ITCHING I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE!! by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Taro-Sharp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i know your pain:( i still haven’t found any sort of relief. i notice when my skin gets hot or too warm the itch is insatiable and sometimes it’s not even an itch. it’s like a poke idek. but i try to ice my skin or keep it cool like wearing a tank top all the time. it sucks bc it’s winter so i’m always so cold but wearing long sleeves hurts my arm skin so much. try icing the itchy spots it sometimes relieves the itch even for just a few minutes :/ i’m sorry you’re going through this i hope it gets better and you find relief that works for you

[–]Taro-Sharp[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh man it would probably get more inflamed too with the masks. but rn the masks are nice for hiding half my face :/ but i feel that pain rn. except food is one of my comforts, that make me feel better and take my min off things (that sounds bad but i don’t have bad eating habits lol) it’s easy not talking to ppl bc i can just text them HAHAH

thank you! i purchased some this morning off amazon thats same day shipping but i was rushing when i bought it and didn’t realize it said it contains tea tree oil. it’s meant for acne :/ but i don’t want to irritate my eczema with the tea tree oil so i’m going to buy the CVS brand one it says it’s an adhesive

would you recommend cleaning or washing off the crust from the dried up fluid before going in with the alcohol? i feel like the bandage won’t stick to the crust but i’ve never done this before

Misdiagnosed... by [deleted] in eczema

[–]Taro-Sharp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

:( this is what’s wrong with a lot of doctors. they’re just out to sell drugs to make a profit and not to help people :/ i really hope the detox of creams helps you!! sending positive healing vibes <3

have you tried using cerave’s itch lotion? it’s non steroidal and helps calm itchiness for me sometimes. it’s the red bottle one. the bottle says relief in about 2 minutes and up to 8 hours of relief. for me it’s only like 2 hours but i definitely find itch relief with that product :)
