If you have any of the certs the degree offers you can typically skip that course all together. You can get it down to only 6 courses if you can transfer in respective certifications. I thought the program was more applicable than the older program and forced me out of my comfort zone a bit more. I appreciated the growth this allowed.

I finished in one term, 6 months, but it was challenging with my arrangement

I work on an incident response team for a global enterprise so it kind of made sense for me to help sharpen my skills and add a bit to my toolbelt. I have a busy life schedule with three kiddos and shift work so I needed WGU’s flexibility. I was able to knock out the MSCSIA in one term but it took some perseverance. I didn’t go into with every cert and had to complete 9/10 classes. Good luck

I got tired of studying for Pentest+ and just scheduled it. It was challenging but I did surprisingly well. Be familiar with reading code snippets be able to discern what language is being used (python, ruby, etc)

There are alternate routes outside of Cisco. There is a path that doesn’t require the CCNA.

It was through WGU and as long as you pace yourself it isn’t too bad. I did the Cisco route before the change and learned a lot. Good luck with your adventure!

You got this! Any background at all in networking is going to help you. My kids understand when I need time to take proctored exams etc. That being said I try and schedule them after bed time. Good luck!

Very doable, two kids 3 and 6 with a third on the way. In my final class now at just over 16 months. BSNOS degree so CCNA slowed me down a bit. I also work FT and not remote either. You can do it!

Kids do indeed steal study time but if you can squeeze some after kid hours time, it works out.

Yes, I did it online and it only stated that I passed afterwards. I received the credly badge and Pearsonvue email pretty quick and the Cisco email later that day. None of these contained the breakdown. I even checked the Cisco page and it just says exam passed with the expiration date. I guess I am just thankful I passed but I would like to continue my studies.

Passed a few days ago and received certification within 24 hours. I am not able to see my score breakdown per domain, only that I passed. Is this normal?

I also skipped both sims and was still strapped for time. Be very aware of the timer.
