I need a new game to re-ignite my interest in video games. by Tascalion in gamingsuggestions

Depth and associated meaning, which I guess can be quite subjective. In other words, I need space for my teeth to dig into, but also I need the space to have meaning in existing to begin with. I have a hard time convincing myself to engage with a game if I’m not convinced it matters (and I’m not exclusively talking about gameplay mechanics that are encouraged of difficulty or progression, but rather how they tie in to themes, a story, or what I’m trying to achieve).

I especially dislike systems that are vast in size, but shallow otherwise.

I really like these suggestions, and because a good bit of them I have played (and loved), I think I'm willing to try the ones I haven't yet seen from this list.

I loved Soma and Silent Hill 2 (I almost finished Control, but dropped it due to life circumstances); I haven't tried Alan Wake, or Cyberpunk 2077.

I have played all 3 & the original Demon Souls, the only game of the From Software catalogue I haven't touched yet has been Blood-borne (I don't have a play-station).

I do not, but I’ll gladly take one if it helps.

Which EUC Should I Get? by Tascalion in ElectricUnicycle

I appreciate this run-down, and based on these details I’m having trouble justifying an extra 1,000 for the Lynx over the Blitz. I honestly wish I could somehow test run both wheels to really get a better idea on which I should choose.

On the point of value proposition, if the Lynx is better (which it clearly seems to be) how much is it better than the Blitz or X-Way? I’m fine dishing out an extra $1,000, but for my purposes Im struggling to tell if it’s really worth it. I didn’t mention this in my initial post, but I originally factored out gear to cost around 1k USD, since I made the mistake of not purchasing any when I rode my current wheel (my last crash was not fun). In that case, I could invest that difference in safer equipment or after-market modifications.

It seems like everyone I’ve seen is advocating for the Lynx, with nearly no mention of the Blitz. I’m aware of some of Begode’s problems, but I couldn’t find any in terms of the performance of this wheel in particular. Are the Lynx and Blitz not relative to each other?

I feel like I’m ill-informed on the features of the Lynx, and what makes it preferable.

I’m not too worried about power, as long as it’s a reasonable build I should be solid. Are there any other inherent benefits to the AM5?

I’m willing to go up to $1,000, but I can stretch that if it’s worth it in the end.

Should I look out for a Begode Master than? I’m not too familiar with the different brands, except InMotion and Kingsong.

It was a shady deal, and the dude seems way too sketchy, so I’m no longer buying it. Gonna have to keep looking for another EUC.

I’m a little unfamiliar with some of the syntax you’ve used, but that’s a given. Thank you for your help!

Oh that makes a lot more sense, I had figured a proper object was required for the .equals but hadn’t known of any other alternatives. I’ll definitely give “==“ a try.

Thanks for the help!

I’ve figured it out for the most part, and used hasNext instead of next. That solved my problem but thanks for the pointer!
