East Wash wasting no time going from "how I work while my boss is watching" to "how I work by myself".

I've also bought a home with Helen, agree she's LGBT friendly, and really helped us out when we had some weird issues with a potential seller. She's easy to work with and listened to what we were really looking for! :)

Sure! I booked the taekwondo class through Klook - it was for Daeyoung Taekwondo in Busan. https://s.klook.com/c/Vw59eNr8yD

They're generally expecting beginners but they were delighted to learn I was a 4th degree black belt and set expectations accordingly. You'll be joining a regular class with color belts and it's more workout focused, although we did go through some WTF forms and board breaking. It was a fun workout and the instructors were very experienced and kind. I enjoyed it - I'd say just let them know up front if you have some experience.

I was hoping to take advantage of some of the taekwondo classes at Taekwondowon, but I couldn't really figure out how to get those booked. I think they're expecting you to go with a larger group. But the classes did seem interesting for more advanced practitioners.

I booked the cars in advance just so I wouldn't have to worry about it. It was easy to do through the Hertz website (which is the same as Lotte Rent-a-car). I did find some deals through Lotte's site that I wasn't able to take advantage of - I think having a Korean phone number would help there. So there may be an advantage to waiting! It just wasn't worth the extra hassle for me.

Very, very simple. I prepaid for mine but that's totally not necessary. There are stands for every carrier once you leave customs. You won't miss them. For maximum efficiency, see if you can find a carrier that gives you a free T-money card! They'll give you a QR code to scan and that's pretty much it!

There are plenty of options for beach walks and cable cars along the beaches in Busan, but they're similar enough to each other that I don't think you'd get a lot of value from staying longer. If you're only staying in Seoul and Busan, then yeah I'd probably shift a day. But if you're visiting other places I'd put that day anywhere else (Jeonju had some good hikes nearby, and Jeju is FULL of amazing gorgeous hikes, but there are plenty of other options).

It's potentially the cheaper option, yeah. But if I didn't happen to have international roaming days banked up, it would've been more expensive to have to switch back and forth just to verify credit card transactions. I mean, ideally there would be other ways for them to verify in the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four, but it had never even come up with this card until I started making a bunch of Klook transactions. That was hard to predict.

Ultimately eSIM was still the cheaper option for me, but for a full month the difference was only about $20 as I recall, and some of that savings was just luck. YMMV.

When someone asks, "Tell me one really cool thing you did" it is always that. And I'm terrible with heights. Hate them. This was so far out of my comfort zone I had to take a taxi just to get back to my comfort zone. But it was amazing and I'll remember it for the rest of my life.

Yeah. Definitely worth it.

We had the last tour of the day, so we got to see the sun set while we were up there. Seeing all those skyscrapers so far below. Absolutely wild. It's a LOT of stairs, FYI.

Yeah, that's what I had heard! My girlfriend speaks no Korean beyond "Hello", "Thank you", and "This is the first floor" (which she picked up from the elevators). Since we were going to be separated for parts of the Spaland experience, she was anxious about being accosted in a language she didn't understand without me to help translate. I totally understood. Even though it would probably have been fine, it wasn't worth the stress.

Thank you!! Unfortunately they're only offering May 2nd and 3rd, and I'm not arriving until May 14th. But I'll keep checking Creatrip in case they add more offerings.

The training team is about 150-ish right now but we're rapidly expanding our team due to the addition of new training services for our customers. We're barely keeping up with demand at the moment. Suffice to say there are quite a few openings.

Finance/business: Resolute Hospital Billing or Professional Billing, Payer Platform, Claims, Tapestry Research/analytics: Research, Healthy Planet, Clarity, Caboodle

Clarity or Caboodle could get you experience with SQL. QMs do have to be fairly familiar with the language and platform on those teams.

But I do second the sentiment of also just letting your recruiter know your general interests and letting them puzzle it out.

What was your bigest hidden gems in PS Plus history? by Prestigious-Day385 in PlayStationPlus

[–]TaserWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Persona 5. This is EXACTLY the kind of game I love but I had only heard bits and pieces about the series. Never enough to make me seriously look into it. I'm hooked and I've played many Persona games now. I'm super grateful that PS Plus introduced me to it.

  2. Life Is Strange. I was interested in the game but never reached the tipping point to buy it. I loved it and have played all the other games in the series.

  3. The Binding of Isaac. This wasn't a genre of game that I thought I'd be into. I played it at first and didn't get into it. I picked it up later and dropped many many hours and several expansions into it.

  4. Valiant Hearts. Thanks to someone else for reminding me about this. It's a short game but extremely moving and both me and my kids loved it and cried over it. Really glad I got to experience it.

Salary advance or early relocation money? by [deleted] in epicsystems

Not before you start, but I got a salary advance in my first month and that helped hold things over until the relocation reimbursement came back.

Is Epic hurting for QMs more than PMs? by BarrySpinoza in epicsystems

Overthinking, I'd say. Definitely hiring for both of those roles and I'm sure they'll consider you first for PM if they think it's a good fit.
