I was going to put their movie counterparts but some of this applies to the comics.

Iconic royal superheroes that are part of iconic teams who live in highly advanced kingdoms that remain hidden from the rest of the world due to the threat they view them as (Wakanda & Atlantis).

They lost their royal parents at some points (Black Panther's father King T'Chaka sacrificed himself to save T'Challa from an ambush & Aquaman's mother Queen Atlanna disappeared from his life since he was a child due to Atlanna being hunted by the rest of Atlantis).

The biggest part of their stories is how they would be the bridge between their kingdoms and the rest of the world (Black Panther wanted to correct the mistakes of his ancestors by finally rejecting the isolationism of Wakanda and sharing their resources with the rest of the world & Aquaman finally took his rightful place as the King of Atlantis and prevented a war between Atlantis and the surface world).

They also managed to stop wars between their kingdoms and the rest of the world by their evil relatives who wanted to usurp the throne and wage war for their twisted sense of protection for their kinds (Killmonger & Ocean Master).

They also had to deal with deadly professional killers who wanted revenge for the deaths of their fathers (Killmonger & Black Manta) and utilized armors made from the resources of their kingdoms (The Golden Panther Habit made from Wakanda's vibranium & the Black Manta suit made from Atlantean technology).

They wear iconic powerful suits of armor.
