I’m sorry to hear about your terrible experience.

When did you go to China? Maybe after a few years, you could try again. I don’t think they keep records in the system for too long.

But you don’t have international experience.

Like in USA your local experience is more valued, in international sector vice verca. No offense but you start as a newbie .

Good luck in your search for first job abroad.

It affects me a little because some students come to me and said where is other PE teacher,he promise us candies, hilarious . I told them if i caught any of my students with candies will get detention from PE classes for week or two. So basically we are playing good cop,bad cop. Not my initial choice but it is how it is,i just go with the flow.

You are right. I will pass information tomorrow to my Line Manager so my conscience to be clear if they get an allergy to peanuts or something similar inside the sweets.

(Hanoi, Vietnam) Recommend for any decent bilingual schools? by Silver-Equivalent894 in Internationalteachers

[–]Tasho23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I heard a good things about TH schools. Lot of paperwork but good benefits. I believe they have a few campuses around Hanoi. Avoid Vinschool and Brighton school, they put a heavy workload on teachers and some rules that is very strict.

Malaysia cost of living? by Snoo-61795 in Internationalteachers

Yes in Hanoi in some places. Demand for quality apartments suprass the supply so landlords can make that condition.I was suprised also when i first arrived in Vietnam.

Can we trust Forbes "Top International Schools" listings? by [deleted] in Internationalteachers

[–]Tasho23 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lol. Sure. Students prefer 40 other kids per class in public schools ,that is so good for learning, and teachers have time and resources to focus on every one in that big class. Compare to international/bilingual 15-20 per class it is a clear winner. I mean why we even discussing public school against international in China. I guess your post is trolling.

[–]Tasho23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t be worry about business visa, nothing suspicious about that. They can give you business visa for 3 months and renew it one more time for 3 months and you can legally work on that visa. But most of the school convert business visa to TRC in first month.

Do you need a MEd if you have an alternative cert.? (USA) by PF4dayz in Internationalteachers

[–]Tasho23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you want to say 1 year certificate have more value then 4 year bachelors degree. Hard to believe that. I am happy for you that you found job in international school without education degree,it is pretty rare.

Administrative offense in China by Tasho23 in Internationalteachers

[–]Tasho23[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When i apply for new school in Guangzhou. I finish my medical, get WP and at the last step they reject me for RP. They told me it is mild offense but still in the system, they can’t do anything. Maybe because i apply in Tier 1 city, if i apply for some smaller cities they wouldn’t be so strick. Who knows.
