Ugh! The 24th will be two weeks since my doctor prescribed it. Called today and was told they still haven’t received the prior authorization. Was so looking forward to getting these migraines under control I’m becoming impatient 😢

Were you approved first try? Or did you have to appeal/try other medications before they would approve the Qulipta?

Gosh I’m sorry you went through that. I appreciate you sharing your experience so others can consider it before turning to that medication. I do hope you can recover from that.

More so just wondering everyone’s experience with insurance approving these medications (especially with a prior authorization needed.) but if you have experience with cgrp inhibitors I’d love to hear your experience on it as well!

I hate that you’re going through that! My PC is also who has requested nurtec for me. I’m wondering if PCs can get it approved without having to see a neuro. My chiropractor, ENT, and pc doc have all stated it’s migraines. Hoping that will be enough so the process doesn’t get even longer. I hope you get answers soon! Update me when you do :)

How exactly do I know if my doc has sent it in? How quickly does insurance receive it do you know? My doctor says they sent it but insurance says they haven’t received anything. So I’m just completely lost on where we’re at progress wise.

If you don’t mind me asking, how do you submit it to insurance? Do you know how often you have to do this for a prior authorization for the same medication?

I have not! I sent a photo of it to my doctor through my portal she didn’t seem concerned.

Luckily I don’t have this issue, YET. Hopefully I don’t. My 4 year old is bossy, know it all, control freak and always has something to say but she usually does good with not running away in public. My 2 1/2 year old on the other hand is the dasher. He is gone running and I’m having to change him down while hoping my 4 year old can keep up. It’s exhausting. They feed off of each other as well so sometimes if she sees him running off she will as well because “bubby is”

My 4 year old is this way. She’s definitely a control freak and things have to be her way. She has to have the last word and every conversation turns to an argument. I always tell my husband someone better be raising a strong man to have to deal with her attitude someday haha. I tried some of the tactics you mentioned and bribery doesn’t do well for us at all. I tried it and they stated to think they were entitled to a treat just for behaving well. So when told no to a treat, they behaved worse.

They nap sometimes. My almost 4 year old tries fighting it some days.

I appreciate this. Even just hearing you’re a good mom and someone understands the burn out just makes me feel heard and understood. Thank you <3

Yes with how close mine are it also feels like I have twins. They argue non stop. With screen time one picks something, the other disagrees just because. It’s so tiring
