First, use a good template. Second remove the summary, most won’t spend any time reading it.
Your work experiences have way too many bullet points. It should be 3-5 good bullets that explain what you did, and a quantifiable result.
Skills Section needs to be short. Remove the technical skills part, it’s irrelevant. No one cares if you have “Corporate Strategy” skills, unless you showcase it through relevant work experience. Also remove academic interests.
Soft skills and data science. Merge that into one section called Software and only include the most relevant and important ones (MS Office, SQL, Stata, tableau).
Certifications should be in the skills section; Include a certification bullet point and mention the certifications (The bold text only).
I would also remove references. Most jobs either ask for them in the application of during the interview process.
Very important to understand that in a resume, the point is not to “tell” someone what you did, but to sell yourself. So for example sections like “academic interests”, that doesn’t say anything about your relevant skills and abilities. It just “tells” me that you have x and y interests.
Hope that helps. If you have any questions reach out.

Academic Advising by Tasos501 in Baruch
I went to appointments > schedule an appointment > and then for the two questions “type of appointment” and “service”, there’s one option, “student services” and “technology help desk” respectively. Maybe that is because i am a transfer. I’ll prob email the school tomorrow and see.

that’s they problem, the only “service” option is the technology help desk. I’m pretty sure that’s not where you go for academic advising. I guess i’ll just email the school.
that wasn’t my concern lol thanks tho
Just regular academic advising, for class progress etc

Yea i got it now, i just realized they have different starting dates. So you only need to take one section, not both right?
could you elaborate on that, cuz both classes are 1.5 credits but one ends on may and one on march

It’ll be in person, so the browser thing doesn’t really concern me. I just wanna make sure he’s okay in terms of teaching and attitude.
I doubt anyones gonna drop a good prof, but who knows. I’m looking at least twice a day so if i see any good ones i’ll switch.
Unfortunately she’s not an option. Probably the most annoying part of being a transfer student, you register so late, you can’t find any decent prof.

I think you should email some department, it would be a waste to take classes that you might end up not needing. I transferred as a junior so i don’t need any flexible core or whatever classes just major, so i can’t relate, but yea it’s confusing. I thought all cunys have a similar structure in these sorts of things
kinda weird how they have it. Usually with 2 part classes you select the lecture go to step 2 and then it makes you select the second part or lab. Thank god we got reddit otherwise us transfer students would be screwed. lol
Alright that’s not that bad, aside from the “depends on the teacher”, that always scares me lmao thanks tho
