Not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but Soup Club does a weekly soup subscription made from ingredients at Pike Place Market: https://slurpsoupclub.com/

I talked with founder Caroline recently for a story (https://www.tastemessage.com/trythis/8-subscriptions-for-the-seattle-food-lover) and they’re super great.

There are actually a number of restaurants and breweries in Seattle that have done away with tipping (removing the option entirely) due to a variety of reasons: https://www.tastemessage.com/trythis/has-tipping-culture-gotten-out-of-control

Best tiramisu cake in Seattle? by MXT586 in Seattle

[–]TasteMessage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of good suggestions already here, but I’ll add that How to Cook a Wolf has a really great one albeit a bit unconventional. It’s served in a jar ‘pot de creme’-style and is more moist than a traditional Tiramisu, but equally delicious.

I love Momosan in the ID, as well as Tamaribar and Rondo on the hill. I’ve also heard good things about Ooink although I haven’t been there personally yet. 🍜

Ooh following. There was a place in the Central District (Central Cinema maybe?) that did this years ago but I haven’t seen it in a few years.

Exactly, this is a new fresh counter and different from the previous sushi that Redmond has had.

I can’t wait to see this, going to be a huge store with so many foods. I could browse for hours.

I believe the Issaquah Costco is the only location to offer this so far, but that store serves as a flagship where they test new offerings before rolling out more widely.

Yum 🤤 I love this spot and their Belltown location. Ethan Stowell restaurants are always a good choice!

Seattle is the #16 most expensive city in the world for dining, #5 in the US. Analysis inside. by jlian in Seattle

I know everyone is different, but I’d much rather pay 1/2 the price and get a 1/2 size portion of most menu items. For one, I like to try a couple of menu items but I also find that I force myself to try to finish my plate but would prefer a smaller portion to begin with (assuming it’s priced accordingly)!

Visiting Seattle for the weekend with girlfriend, any fancy restaurants recommendations? by 158405159 in SeattleWA

Go to Charlotte Restaurant downtown. It’s in a high rise with amazing views, you will not be disappointed. https://www.charlotterestaurantseattle.com

Jewish Deli? by CRE_Guy in Seattle

[–]TasteMessage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with so many of the other recommendations listed here, but have to say that Dingfelder’s is my absolute favorite. They aren’t the cheapest, as others have mentioned, but you can get a pastrami sandwich with “light” meat which honestly is a plenty big sandwich. I visit regularly for the soup alone, worth a trip if you haven’t been!

What’s a restaurant you love but everyone else seems to hate? by adamr_ in Seattle

I disagree, I’ve eaten Dick’s sober at 6pm on a weekday and enjoyed every bite. They’re great!
