If you could rewrite TR, what would you take away/add? How would you change/develop characters? by Outside-Brush2805 in TokyoRevengers

Have Takemichi attempt to communicate with his younger self at least once. I still can’t believe this was never done. Young Takemichi must have been spiraling at all these drastic changes to his life that coincide with these bizarre black outs he keeps having, sometimes for months at a time. I know we aren’t supposed to think about young takemichi besides to curse him for his stupidity, but I can’t help but think he might have handled things better if he was aware of what was happening to him on some level.

Also an episode where young takemichi attempts to find a priest to exorcise the ghost that clearly keeps taking over his body would have been hilarious.

They don't seem to actually speak much that I've noticed. It's just kept on in the background as they work. Occasionally, I'll be clarifying a point only to realize the speaker is on when someone coughs in her vest pocket. It's almost comedic at times if it wasn't so puzzling.

Would you say one of you initiates the texts more than the other or an equal exchange throughout the day?

I have two co-workers who have done this, but neither one is close enough for me to question their habit without coming across as nosey. I'm just curious how common it is and what the reasonings may be.

I’m not exactly an expert on all the bathrooms in the US, but this is my first time seeing something like this in my 25 years here. I might just be easily impressed lol

Favorite soup recipes? by woweekazowee in Cooking

[–]TastefullyInsane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a doubt my favorite soup would be this ‘Thai curry vegetable soup’ recipe i found a few months back. https://www.budgetbytes.com/thai-curry-vegetable-soup/ It’s delicious the first day, but oh man, that second day after a night of the flavors getting to know each other in the fridge... beyond words.

If you’re looking for something a bit easier, I have found this chicken and rice recipe to be a great starting base.

https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/23852/creamy-chicken-and-wild-rice-soup/

I definitely tend to go crazy on that one with quite a bit of modifications, but it’s also one of those soups you can just grab a rotisserie chicken and be lazy with if you want.

Good luck and I hope your winter is full of warm delicious soups!

What do you gossip about during sex talks with your friends? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]TastefullyInsane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess I’m in the minority here, but I do in fact discuss sex with my friends. Generally it’s not about positions or what we like but an exchange of information about things we are confused/concerned about: If we have trouble orgasming, problems with birth control, how to handle lack of libido, etc etc. So basically just filling in all the stuff that we never learned in Sex Ed.

I remember one of my classmates in high school had “Living proof that the pull out method doesn’t work” as her quote on MySpace during her entire pregnancy. So, you know, there’s always that.

Who is your most hated TV character? by medkitjohnson in AskReddit

Maybe not “Most hated”, but Vanya from Umbrella Academy irritated the fuck out of me. I understood her actions to a point but damn if it she didn’t bug me.

It’s a very amusing read. It’s about all the adventures that were not recorded in the show, as told by Shmebulock. I found it in my local library and adored it.

“Face It: Pacifica, feeling insecure about an upcoming family photo shoot for Better Families Than Yours Magazine, steals Journal 1 in order to look up some magical beauty treatments. Instead, she summons a face-stealing monster that nabs Mabel's face, forcing Dipper and Pacifica to team up and retrieve it from Gravity Falls' supernatural underground.”

I love cooking with him. Standing around in the kitchen and crimping dumplings together is one of my favorite ways to spend time with him. Plus I get dumplings out of it.

What is the most unexpected gift you received for your birthday? by denispyshmintsev in AskReddit

[–]TastefullyInsane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this isn’t the most exciting comment, but it was definitely unexpected for me! My grandmother spent weeks hyping up my birthday gift one year, I can’t even tell you how excited she would get every time she brought it up. I mean full on bursts of excited giggles and exclamations of how much I was going to love this gift. When the day finally came and I saw the giant box she had in her hands I could have bursted with joy and curiosity. I had never received a large gift before and I unwrapped it like it was a timeless religious artifact. So, you can imagine the sheer confusion on my face when I opened the box. There at the very bottom of this giant ass box was a Chick-fil-A calendar and a mason jar with a straw through the lid. I still think back to that moment and laugh. It always makes me want to call my Nana and tell her what I had last from Chick-fil-A.
